"Sorry, there are sometimes adverse reactions, but they tend to be mind and generally happen after about a month." there is a pause. "During these blackouts has anything...odd happened?"

"I apparently almost walked into traffic, and later, I woke up with a paper cutter in my hand."

"Wow...that's...different." Mr. Harrox paused a gain. "Any other effects? No...sudden feelings of being watched?"

[yamikuronue]

"...Now that you mention it, yeah."

[CalamityJade]

"..Alright. If you'll give me a moment." As he goes silent she can feel the sensation getting worse...and a bit of a shudder starts in the back of her brain. She can feel something almost crawling up her spine as the silence started becoming deafening. This wasn't as sudden as the other times, but it felt MUCH stronger. As she just felt about to wash over her and the booth started to twist, there was a sudden snap before everything turned right ways. "Miss Stark, are you still there?"

"Yes!" she squeaks. "Please don't do that again!"

[CalamityJade]

"I assure you, while the sensation was not my doing, the solving of it was. I was not expecting this to be a factor so soon, but there are some risks in what we've been doing. Miss Stark...have you ever wondered why some people are Welcomed?"

[yamikuronue]

All the goddamn time. "No, never."

[CalamityJade]

"Well, it seems that there is some things that are similar between the Welcomed. And I have...certain talants that have allowed me to grant people similar benefits. There is, however...an issue as I'm sure you've seen. Now, what I have realized is that it happens when the charm starts to run low on power...and the results are rather...unplesant."

"Okay so... how do we get the charm more power?"

[CalamityJade]

"Oh, that's not a problem. As you saw, I was able to do that from here. However there is still the matter of solving this problem...but, in the meantime you CAN still help with that. I believe there was a mention of fees for maintenance, correct?"

[yamikuronue]

Erika hesitates, the realization sinking in. "How.... No, I know better. What do you want me to do?"

[CalamityJade]

There was a bit of a chuckle. "I had you figured for being quite quick." He paused. "For now you can continue to exist. I will honor the contract and take a fee from the gains you will be making...and as long as that works out, we can continue to keep your...problem from consuming you. Of course, you are also free to terminate our arrangement at any time."

[yamikuronue]

Erika swallows. "What's happening to me when the charm runs low?"

[CalamityJade]

"Well, you're already well versed in what will happen, though it also becomes much more severe as time goes on, so I would suggest finding a safe place for...well at least a month while the events continue. I would hate to see your life end so...messily."
