~Woah! Um....yeah, as long as they don't disappear, I think I can keep an eye on them. Why, tho?~

"Because I'm going to see if I can help that kid." T's words hold a new tone: one of determination and confidence, rather than the usual, snarky tone she uses when sniping at the world.

She falls quiet as she reaches the lower level, using the information the crystal is giving her combined with the visual layout of the floor to see where she can get the closest to the monster.

~Okay...so you wanna help the kid.~ The second floor is almost completely dark outside of the light the crystal is giving off. ~What makes you think finding this thing'll do it?~ The next image gives her a pretty good idea that it's down this hall, through some door and down another hall. Apparently he can tell where the building ends and..whatever is around them begins.

T creeps down the hall, silent.

~Can you read my mind?~ she thinks, deliberately. ~Because if not, you're going to have to wait a bit.~

~Gah! Not so damn loud!~ Apparently she didn't need to think THAT hard. ~And how the hell are you going to do something about this.~

~I'm going to kill it, of course. That should free the captive ghosts.~

[CalamityJade]

~And how the hell are you going manage that? This thing...well, I guess it's closer to you than a ghost, but didn't you stab one already?~

~Your light seems to make them more solid. I figure if I hold you up, it might make him sold enough to be stabbed.~

[CalamityJade]

~Wait....so you're just going to hold me up and HOPE that it can be stabbed?~ Wow...this place was REALLY messed up. As she got deeper, T could feel a sort of dread hanging in the air. ~So what do we do if that doesn't work?~

~Baby. You'll be fine. You're a goddamn hunk of rock.~

~Hey, maybe you haven't noticed, but I can't actually move! you think I wanna be stuck down here forever?~

~Someone would find you eventually. Chill.~

T focuses on getting closer, trying not to think too hard about what happens if this fails, despite the churning dread growing in her gut.

~Well you'll excuse me if I don't want to wait for 'eventually'.~ She comes into a big room full of twisted metal parts and gears. The darkness was pretty deep here, making a sphere of light around her and the crystal. ~Well, it's in here, so I guess we'll find out if all this works.~

T tries to creep closer to the center of the beast, holding up the crystal like a lantern, knife at the ready

There was a sort of scraping sound coming from farther in. ~...you're really going to fight this thing...because of the ghost kid?~
