She's trying too hard to sound posh; it's... rather endearing actually.

"I'm assisting the police in their investigations into the Mordriana kidnapping attempt," Rob explains. "The particular lead I'm following has led me to believe that Mr Roidmet may have some useful information."

"I'll ask." She gives a warm smile, then stands, mostly to show off her awesome new heels and how amazing they make her calves look as she totters toward the office door. Oh! And her hips sway, showing off her new skirt. Definitely a showing-off kind of outfit.

She knocks, then pokes her head into Gregory's office. "Sir? There's a Rob McCarthey here to see you about a kidnapping attempt. Shall I let him in?"

Gregory sat at his desk, seeming to ponder over that. While the desk itself was made of a rather dark wood, the room around it was lighter, going for a sort of soft blue and grey motif. "Did he say how any sort of kidnapping had to do with myself or my company?"

"He said he was following a lead that lead to you personally, sir."

Gregory took that as a moment to nod. This...could something have actually happened? "Send him in." he would have to hear this out. For now, he would hope. he would see what this man had to say and hope that it would lead somewhere he wished.

Erika makes her way back to the desk, hips swaying. "He will see you now," she says, politely, with a warm smile.

Is she... well, it's good to have that sort of confidence, though she's clearly not used to walking in heels. Still... anyway, I'm here to work, so let's get on with it.

"Thank you Erika," Rob replies; he then enters the office.

"Good morning, Mr Roidment. I'd like to ask you a few questions as part of my investigations; I hope this is a convenient time for you?"

Gregory Roidmet gave something of a polite smile. "As it happens, I do have a small amount of time. OF course, you won't mind me not answering depending on the question." For someone that was as influential as Gregory Roidmet, he seemed rather polite. Usually important people didn't like talking to people that they considered beneath them. "But please, have a seat."

"In that case, I'll be succinct," Rob assures, taking the seat offered. "I'm assisting the police investigating the Mordriana kidnapping attempt, and it's possible there's a link between that and the disappearance of your brother Obsidian; I am here to get information to help either confirm or refute such a link." Taking the sketch out of his pocket, he shows it to Gregory. "Have you ever seen this patch design before?"

Gregory had a slight drop in his face. One that made him seem...slightly disappointed. "I see." he looked at the sketch. "it seems old design. Something probably from a museum....why do you ask and what does that have to do with a fortune teller and my brother?"

"The group that tried to kidnap Mordriana had that patch on their outfits, and there's a possibility it's the same group that was behind your brother's disappearance."

Gregory frowned as he seemed to look over Rob. "I find it very unlikely, and for two reasons. Firstly, that my brother is not one go very quietly with anyone he wouldn't want to. That much is easily documented in the news and by anyone that knew him more than briefly. Which leads me to the second point. If you believe these people had something to do with both cases, and there weren't any signs of a struggle at either his home or place of business, nor that there were reports of violence, then that would mean you would consider him some party to the kidnapping of Mordriana. That much I can tell you is false." As he spoke, there was an obvious hint of anger in his voice. Something must be there, then.

Touched a nerve there... still, not a good idea to piss off one of the Welcomed. Even if my investigation is backed by the GRD.

"My apologies. I'm not insinuating that your brother was a party to the attempt on Mordriana; I am merely trying to establish if there is a genuine link between the two cases."

Gregory took a breath before speaking. "I...apologize. There has been some insinuation that he was less than...generous with his d...new charge. Her disappearance at the same time did little to alleviate those claims and I have had something of a time dealing with them." His somewhat pleasant demeanor returns as he settles himself. "As far as a link between the two, I cannot think of one very strong. The two only met twice to my recollection, and neither time was very positive."

Did he nearly say 'daughter'? And she disappeared at the same time as he did... and the thief clearly knew Obsidian... no, that would be too much of a coincidence. Would it? Yes. Probably.

Worry about that later, Rob; let's find out more about these two meetings first.
