Go Down

yamikuronue

"Thank you," he says, earnestly. He feels no true relief, though; instead, the tension flows from him into a bleak pit, an abyss that has taken the place of his heart.

CalamityJade

Theodora tried to compose herself, not wanting any of the public to see her distraught. "I do hope that the City will smile upon you." She gives him a quick kiss on the cheek before standing. "And I hope that you will not become Lost." Which was a parting word for most that followed the 'Shining Path'. Granted, Theodora mostly followed because it was the thing to do. It got her seen and that was the important part.

yamikuronue

Lost... Nathaniel says nothing as he watches Dora leave. But I'm Welcomed. I should be safe, right? ....Right?

CalamityJade

Theodora did her best not to cry as she left. She truly did love to watch Nathaniel dance, but if he could not...then it would be a cruelty to them both to see what happened next. Better for him to live on in her heart as the perfect dancer that she was. She passed by several rooms on her way out. Rooms with other people waiting for visitors...as was the case for the one unmarked room. Even while asleep, as she had been for some time, she still waited for someone to arrive. Someone with many questions. Someone that, even if she didn't know it, had saved Mordrianna's life.

yamikuronue

T hunches her shoulders as she slinks into the hospital. She hates hospitals. She'd never been in one until her mum took sick, and then it smelled like despair and bleach and death. Not a fun place to be.

Still, she needed to know where her dad went, so to Mordriana's room she snuck, trying to look inconspicuous.

CalamityJade

While a couple of people looked her way, they either seemed too busy to care or a little preoccupied. ~Don't like this place either. Reminds me of those not-people in the warehouse.~ Whatever had been going on with that crystal, it seemed to react to her mood more and more. At least it was mostly quiet on the trip here.

For the most part, it was smooth sailing, though when she got closer to the door, she'd notice that two of the people didn't look like they beloned. They were standing out near an unmarked door and seemed...well, copish would probably be the best bet.

yamikuronue

yeah, well, ghosts are probably hanging around here, given people fucking die here. T tries not to think too hard about breathing in some exotic disease and wasting away like her mother. Oh hey, people, let's focus on that... oh fuck, cops.Okay, act natural...

T walks past the door, trying to see if they were going to pay attention to her, pretending to be lost as she looks up at the door numbers.

CalamityJade

One of them does, though he's trying really hard not to look like he notices so it just looks works. Definitely cops. ~I'm guessing that he's not acting natural? The two you walked by seem more like the people walking around than anyone else. They're brighter than most.~ Which made sense since they probably weren't here as patients or visiting them.

That was another odd thing. The crystal's descriptions were making a little more sense, seeing how it didn't really have eyes to see in the first place. Sure, it was a little creepy to imagine people as balls of light that seem connected to each other by strings, but there were probably worse things. At least it was able to recognize certain kinds of people and things.

yamikuronue

I don't suppose you could make a distraction down the hall?

CalamityJade

There's a bit of a crash down the hall where there are some lights flickering, which definitely gets their attention. The fact that ALL the lights on the floor flicker and go out for a second gets them going to figure out what happened. ~Did that do it? People are kinda running around now.~

yamikuronue

...yes. T's mouth twists into a wry smile as she doubles back to slip through the door while they're busy.

CalamityJade

The inside of the room was...well a hospital room. It was almost everything T remembered, except it wasn't her mother wasting away and there was a little less sense of foreboding. There was also the fact that the woman in the bed was not her mother. For one, her hair was longer, and a dark red rather than black. She also seemed a tad bit older than her mother when she had been here.

yamikuronue

T creeps closer to the bed, her hand going to her pocket with her knife in it just in case. "..you awake?"

CalamityJade

The woman stirs only a little. ~She's definitely there...and bright.~ It was then that T felt a sort of tingly feeling on the back of her neck. Something was here, and it wasn't the most comforting feeling.

yamikuronue

The knife comes out of the pocket as T crouches slightly, looking around the small room.
