Normally, I'd stay, answer their questions... but they aren't gonna believe the shit we'd tell them.

Rob scrambles to his feet and locates T.

"Let's get outta here," he suggests quietly yet urgently, avoiding looking at the crowd as much as possible.

T nods, turning to walk rapidly toward the bar. Running draws attention -- and she never wants attention.

Meanwhile, a little after the pair had gone off to chase after the man, Erika was on her own...well, at least it seemed like it. It wasn't long before someone walking by her table took a seat opposite from her. He was wearing a charcoal suit and straightened his light red tie as he sat down. His face was a little rough, having a noticable scar on his left cheek. He gave a smile that seemed oily before he spoke. "Afternoon. Mind if we sit and chat a bit?"

Erika blinks, startled. She minded -- she'd rather be left alone, the week she's having -- but how to refuse politely? "I... I suppose," she finds her traitor mouth saying.

[CalamityJade]

"That's tops of ya." He settled in and adjusted his tie again. "I'm an associate of Mr. Harrox and we've been...a little at odds. He says that things with you should be fine. You'll do what you're supposed to and that you've been 'cooperative'. Now me, I'm much more of a stickler for the small details. One being your association with the nice detective that went runnin out of here or some wild goose chase." The man took a moment to let that sink in. "So, in light of that, you mind telling me what you've been discussin with him?"

She chews her lower lip, hesitantly. "He wanted to introduce me to a friend of his. Was that wrong? I don't want to let Mr Harrox down..."

[CalamityJade]

"That's not what I'm talking about. I wanted to know what you've discussed of your dealings with the detective." He looked to be getting slightly agitated.

[yamikuronue]

"My...dealings?" She blinks at him. "I was unaware I'd done anything untoward that I needed to keep secret...."

[CalamityJade]

"Don't you fucking play coy with me! I know Harrox is keen on all that 'niceties' but I'm much more realistic. And if you do anything else to mess with us, whatever value you have will be nothin, got me?"

[yamikuronue]

Erika pales, jumping slightly as he swears at her. "I-- I swear, I-- I don't know what-- please, just tell me what you want to know!"

[CalamityJade]

He adjusts his tie again...and seems to pause and frown as he looks down at his hand. "Can't even be a proper delay." He looked back at Erika. "Did you mention Mr. Harrox or anyone associated with him?"

"I -- I don't remember, I --" and here she bursts into tears, punctuated by low moans of terror.

Hopefully I can put him off long enough that Rob can get back.... I don't want to think what will happen if they find out I've told him.

[CalamityJade]

"It's not much of a difficult..." He growled under his breath. "Don't start getting them going again. Don't need that detective snoopin around again, or I might just decide to deal with it myself." With that he stood and started walking out, despite the stares and mutterings going on around Erika's crying.

Erika continues to sob, hiccuping a bit, relief just adding to her tears.

What do I do now?

This would probably be the state that Rob and T would come back to, along with seeing a couple of cop cars heading in the direction of their mystery man. That...could have definitely gone better.
