T reaches out with two fingers to fondle the paper.

Same is careful to keep a hold of the paper such that she can't run off with it, but otherwise allows her to inspect the paper as she wished. He seems somewhat content, if a little unhappy at her (to his point of view) lackluster performance in the deal he offered.

Thankfully there seemed to be SOME truth to what she said. After a few seconds of touching the paper, there was a small flash of blue light and the slight singed scent of burnt paper. When they could see it again, there was a new message burnt into it.

"T, Find the Engineer."

The humming had also stopped, but T was now sure she'd heard it before...was it something from outside the city?

Sam's eyebrow's shoot up into his hairline as he reads the upside down to him message.

"Well.... that's..... new."

[yamikuronue]

T scowls. ~Is Engineer one of those giant things?~

"Great." she says out loud. "Another fucking mystery.

[accalia]

"Indeed, and one I'll enjoy tracking down. How the bleep did that happen anyway?" Once again Sam self censors the curse, replacing it with the word 'bleep' but leaving the inflection of the curse.

[yamikuronue]

"Magic," she grunts.

[accalia]

"Well, How does it work then? What are the rules of it? can anyone use it, or only some people?"

[yamikuronue]

She shrugs. "Who cares? It's probably the fatespinner."

[accalia]

"I care." Sam says fervently "Because it's a mystery."

[yamikuronue]

"You're good as dead already," she snaps. "I've got a damsel to rescue." With that, she turns to go.

[accalia]

"Well, if i'm a walking ghost i might as well help." Sam says, trying to get out from behind the table. "Besides, I've never been able to deny a damsel in distress."

[yamikuronue]

Oh god why did I phrase it like that she bemoans. "No," she says, moving down the sidewalk. I guess I'll have to catch her coming out of work?

[accalia]

Sam shrugs and starts after T/Faith. "I think i'll come along anyway. It's a good mystery. One that needs solving."

~...no, I think it's talking about the woman. Pulse moves weird around her, but I thought it was just because she had strings, but it might not be.~ Crys finally decided to rejoin the conversation, probably due to finally remembering something.
