"You are who you are of course, just as this one is what this one is. it is fine, but this one thinks you stopped by for more than just saying thank you. What troubles you?"

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried looks down at his hands. "Guilt, primarily."

[accalia]

"Guilt for what? You hold no blame in these injuries this one now bears, and indeed your life was in grave danger, based on the severity of these injuries. Unless you were deliberately seeking to be so injured, and this one suspects that is very much not the case, how can you hold guilt for actions that were chosen and acted upon by others?"

[yamikuronue]

"I made a poor decision, and it led to your being injured. I think a little guilt is reasonable in this situation."

[accalia]

"If you insist, this one cannot stop you feeling that. Know however that there is no ill ill felt, nor does this one think any is warranted. Mistakes happen, and none are immune to them.

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried sighs. "The trouble was trying to be too clever. I'm not cut out for this sort of thing. I should have stayed home and merely asked him about it the next day..."

[accalia]

"would he have told you? the master is rather secretive."

[yamikuronue]

"True. But better not to know than to get people hurt. Curiosity isn't fatal."

[accalia]

"As a very very old friend once said.... Curiosity killed the cat, but Satisfaction brought her back. There is no shame in being curious."

[yamikuronue]

"True. But there is shame in pursuing curiosity to ill ends. For which I am deeply sorry." Siegfried sighs. "Shall I leave you to rest?"

[accalia]

"one would actually like to be ambulatory again. Are there a pair of crutches or similar about the place that this one could borrow?"

[yamikuronue]

"If not, I can go purchase some." He smiles.

[accalia]

"This one would be grateful if such things could be procured."

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods, turning to go. "I'll be back shortly, then."

[accalia]

"Thank you. This one will be here."
