Tale as Old As Time [Finished]

Morden had actually a pretty alright flight. He yawned as he looked around in the terminal. "Well, can't say that I don't mind the transportation. Rather better than coach."

Siegfried shudders. "Please. We are a little more civilized than animals around here."

[accalia]

"This one appreciated the view, It reminded one of... well one is not sure, but it felt familiar."

Echo sighs and yawns at the end of that statement, wincing slightly as the scars on his face stretch with the yawn. Oddly there are several scars on his face that seem almost new compared to the other background scars, certainly there were no scars so prominent on his face a couple of hours ago when they got to the airport.

Morden gave Echo a look. "Echo...I hope you do not mind me prying, but is it possible for you to take on wounds without being aware of them?"

[accalia]

"Hmm... new ones, no. That is an active act. Old ones, particularly the very oldest, do occasionally reassert themselves, Why do you ask?"

[yamikuronue]

"You seem to have re-acquired some facial scarring on the flight," Siegfried points out.

[accalia]

"Ah. This one apologizes if it is causing distress. Such distress is unintentional and not under this one's direct control."

[yamikuronue]

"How were they acquired?" he asks, softly. "Originally."

[accalia]

"The earliest scars? In battle mostly. Healing the wounds of others in battle was... well still is really, even though the nature of those wounds has changed over time... most of what this one's power demands of one."

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods. "Were you dreaming about old battles?"

[accalia]

"Just one, the first. This one sees its echoes in every other battle, and in one's dreams as well."

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods. "I wonder if that has to do with the scars appearing.."

[accalia]

"That this one does not know... It is possible, but it is by no means certain."

[CalamityJade]

"Hmm....interesting." Morden moved a little closer to Echo to get a better look at the scars that seemed more recent. "That would make sense, given what we already know about you. If you remember each instance of the scars you've acquired so far, that might be what keeps them there." He seemed quite fascinated with the idea. "Though without knowing how you could forget any of them, it's just a speculation."

Siegfried's face twitches a little, betraying the frustration he feels, but he manages to avoid blurting out that he could make people forget things (probably) if Echo would let him try. As eager as he is to figure out what's behind the weirdness of Echo's mind, this isn't the time or the place.
