Tale as Old As Time [Finished]

"Sadly," remarks Siegfried, dryly. "He doesn't tell me much about why either."

[accalia]

"Hmm..... sad, to keep getting hurt so often, and dangerously so..."

Echo stands slowly and begins to walk out of the room

"Oww.... that was unwise..... He's not likely to do that again in the next couple of days?"

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried shrugs. "I have no earthly understanding of why he does."

[accalia]

Echo grunts, either in assent or denial it is hard to tell and returns to his room to finish sleeping through the night.

[yamikuronue]

The next morning, as Echo comes to the table, he gets a glimpse of the headline on the newspaper: "Vigilante Crimelord Strikes Again! Three more wanted felons left at police HQ. Cops baffled by this would-be superhero's motives."

[accalia]

Echo sits at the table and picks up the paper.

"well isn't that interesting?"

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried humms questioningly as he brings over a plate of blueberry scones and honey for Echo's breakfast.

[accalia]

"We seem to have i vigilante on our hands. This one has not been in town long, have we had one for any length of time. Oh, would we happen to have some tea for breakfast? some Assam or Earl grey?"

[yamikuronue]

"Oh, that. That's been happening for a few years now. Nobody's quite sure when it started, but the papers have been covering it for, let me thin... at least three or four years now?" Siegfried rambles as he goes through the cupboard. "I have pure Assam or an Irish Breakfast mix?"

[accalia]

"The Assam, thank you. Correct this one if in error, but don't police usually frown heavily on vigilante behavior?"

Echo carefully splits a scone in half and applies a small daub of Honey to it as he speaks

[yamikuronue]

"Oh, certainly. But the vigilante has never been caught. It's quite dangerous, actually. I suggest not walking alone in town at night."

Siegfried gets out a teapot, measuring tea into it as he puts a kettle on the stove.

[accalia]

"This one is used to walking in dangerous places. Places far more dangerous than one would expect here. but your point is taken. This one will refrain from adventuring at night."

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods, stifling a yawn. "If only the Young Master was so prudent..."

[accalia]

"hmm.... but then if he was he wouldn't be the young master, now would he?"

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried chuckles. "No, I suppose he wouldn't. He was always reckless as a child -- falling out of trees, getting into fights, chasing animals all over creation."
