Go Down

accalia

When Lance leaves off the attack and veers off Julie switches effortlessly to trailing behind Lance, keeping pace a cautious distance behind, but close enough that he would be hard pressed to share her loose if he wanted too. Julie continues to talk, this time to Lance, trying to get the Human inside the wolf's attention.

Failing to find Siegfried in the Kitchen Echo sits down at the table to wait for a while, this night was not over yet, he could feel that.

yamikuronue

The red-brown wolf spins on her, pushing the attack with his teeth to try and drive her away.

accalia

Julie dances away out of range of the attack, Lances teeth catching naught but the faintest fuzz of fur.

Julie: Well done whelp, you have cunning, but you're not a match for me. You need to be a human to out think me!

yamikuronue

Wolf does NOT, he thinks, savagely pressing the advantage. He's large and young, he should be able to wear her down. Being human would only slow Wolf down. Retreating from his human side, he throws himself into his awareness of the here and now, into the present that his senses are describing to him... and feels a proud sort of gloating elation as he realizes what weapon he can bring to bear. He switches his attacks a little, aiming for her to back toward a particular rotting oak tree...

accalia

The blow catches Julie, unable to dodge out of the way in time. Julie instead uses the blow and the oak to bound over Lance, once again out of easy reach.

Julie: good, you thought there. like the human you are. but it will take more than that to defeat me!

yamikuronue

As she bounds up, she might hear a faint buzzing; the wolf smacks into the tree, rattling a hornet's nest, then turns immediately and bolts even as the hornets come swarming out, looking for fresh prey.

accalia

Julie is impressed, still feral and thinking tactically. But the pup still hasn't learned how to run at speed in the woods. Julie sprints ahead and keeps pace with Lance just ahead of him until the hornets are out of range again.

Julie: Well played Lance Roidmet! You will be a formidable opponent one day, but for now you should remember what it is to be a man!

Julie is breathing heavier now, being older she doesn't have the limitless stamina she had when she was younger, she could attack, and probably kill the wolf, but that would be ill repayment for the services Echo had rendered unto her all thoe years ago. So she kept out of the wolfs reach as much as possible, calling forth the human. and it was working, the wolf was getting stronger, more sure....

Goddess above have him snap out of this before i lose my edge and have to fight him!

yamikuronue

Wolf keeps up surprisingly well -- seems that he's not comfortable running full-tilt through the forest but he's well learned how to dodge debris, leap logs at a split-second notice, and keep mostly silent while running. Ten years of monthly runs through these woods have taught him many of its secrets, even without a teacher.

He steers down a specific path, letting his nose guide him to the water-scent, racing full-on until the last possible moment, when he pulls up short, hoping she'll careen over the edge and into the river below.

accalia

Julie smelled the river just in time to slow down and stop several meters behind Lance.

Julie: tricks and traps... You are becoming more human by the second Master Lance Roidmet. Are we done with the running for now or do you still think you can take me?

yamikuronue

The wolf snarls at her, turning to get between her and the path back. Not-Lance, he snarls, wishing he knew how to make the thoughts leave his head. Wolf is clever.

accalia

Julie: so we are still ready for a fight. well if you think you can take me..... Try!

With that last word Julie lunges forward and snaps at Lance before retreating to a safer distance

yamikuronue

Wolf dances away -- Wolf can be nimble as well as Bitch -- then lunges forth, hoping to back her toward the cliff.

accalia

Julie: Really? over a cliff to my death? is that the best you can do Lance Roidmet? try again.

Bounding through the thicker trees to the left of the path Julie emerges on the path above Lance.

Julie: I can keep this up all night, if you're up for it, or maybe you would rather run home to your own bed, soft and warm.

yamikuronue

Wolf snarls, but a nagging sensation in the back of Wolf's mind insists that this is what Bitch wanted, that he was forgetting something...

Food-giver.

Wolf shakes his head, pawing at his muzzle. Food-giver is safe in Den. Still, something insists that this is a trap. An image of a hornet's nest falling onto Siegfried's head causes him to snort with alarm before he, reluctantly, turns back toward the house, heading off at a steady pace.

accalia

Julie follows Lance at a respectful distance, she was exhausted and very glad that Lance had broken off when he did, she wasn't sure anymore who would have won if Lance hadn't broken off when he did
