Obsidian noticed the pistol and tried to puzzle it out. Why was Lance out here now? Sure, these guys may not have been saints....and only one of them looks like he killed, but something else MUST have happened. HE almost didn't seem surprised that Echo had followed as well...though the glowing and the fact he was running. "And people think I'm weird." He starts the motorcycle back up and heads after the sounds and Echo. "Damnit, Lance I really hope I'm wrong about what we find at the end of this trail

Lance doesn't answer Julie-- but he does lunge out from a bunch of bushes, savagely snarling, his muzzle coated in drying blood, warning her off.

Julie skids to a stop as Lance lunges at her

Julie growls softly at the other wolf

Julie: What the FUCK happened here?!

Moments later Echo arrives at the scene and after taking one look at Lance dashes towards the bushes that Lance had just leapt out from

Obsidian skidded to a stop at the first sign of a fight. Shit....This did NOT look good. "Lapis!" There is a faint glow under his shirt as the skin on his hands darkened to a dull black. "Lance! Stand down NOW!" He wasn't going to have the two of them fight. Even if...whatever was past him was what he worried about.

Lance breaks away from Julie, darting to try and get between Echo and the bushes, guarding them desperately. It's then that he hears Obsidian's command, his ears flat against his head; he doesn't attack, but neither does he get out of the way.

"Out of the way wolf. this one is needed. If you want to protect, let this one do what this one exists for."

Julie: Move whelp. Let the man heal your friend.

Obsidian was quick to start making his way towards Lance. "Lance, whatever, or whoever is back there is going to need help...and I know you know me. I'm not about to just let something happen and sit on my ass and do nothing...so move and we'll see what we can do." He was looking Lance right in the eye, hoping he wouldn't really make them fight to get past him.

The wolf dips his head when Obsidian makes eye contact, and shies to the side, opening a spot for him to pass, though he keeps a wary eye on the other two.

Behind the bushes, hastily hidden, is a body, covered in mud, one pant leg soaked with blood. After a moment, Obsidian can recognize those clothing, that hair -- it's Siegfried, pale and unconscious, the blood having come from a leg wound. Clearly, he's been dragged here to get him out of the way.

Echo moves to examine the unconscious body of Siegfried.

"This is going to hurt.... what happened to you?"

Julie sidles closer to Obsidian

Julie: that looks nasty, can you heat metal? til it glows? I think we're going to need to cauterize.

Obsidian moved his hand up before Echo got too much closer to Siegfried. "Hold it...he might listen to me, but I'd rather not test it." Shit...this was pretty bad. More so than he'd first thought. He tried to check of he was alive before he could make any sort of plan. "Shit...we need to move him. Quickly. I'll see what I can do about having him bleed out any more." That was a GOOD deal of blood, and he wasn't entirely sure that was the only wound, all things considered. He gave Lance another look to see if he seemed to be bleeding anywhere.

The wolf seems unharmed, though true to form, he steps between Echo and Obsidian. He gives a strangled sort of yelp, his eyes wide with fear, and almost words can be heard; perhaps it's just rampant imagination, but almost, the voice of a small boy can be heard, screaming through hysterical tears, "Don't touch him! Stay away!"

Echo kneels next to Siegfried and places a hand on the chest.

Julie: Let the man work Lance, He's here to help. Obsidian, get ready to catch Echo, He'll fall for sure after this healing.

Echo closes his eyes and concentrates. The wold around him seems to hush and bow in towards him in anticipation.

Siegfried's been shot, Echo would notice right away; then there's another wound, a savage tearing of flesh by teeth that it takes him a moment to realize is his own, not Siegfried's at all. The Wolf clamps his teeth around Echo's arm, intending to tear it off if he can manage, or at least get him away from Siegfried.

Obsidian was quick to move, his hand going to the back of Lance's head and grabbing. "Shit...Echo, I said stay back! Lance....let go of him, alright!"

At the feel of teeth on his arm Echo's eyes fly open. They are jet black from edge to edge with no differentiation.

"I do what is my purpose to do."

So speaking Echo screams in pain and collapses, blood spraying from a wound on his leg that exactly matched the one on Siegfried's leg, various other injuries become apparent on his body as his suit shreds to match the injuries that he just pulled out of Siegfried

Upon inspection a bullet would be found in Echo's leg, where a moment ago there had been none

Julie headbutts Lance in the side.

Julie: Let the man go, your friend is safe.
