Julie: In your own time then.

ulie then waits until Lance was well and truly out of ear shot.

Julie: Damn.... if i was three score years younger....

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried chuckles softly. "He is a fine specimen, isn't he?" he says, just as softly.

[accalia]

Julie: he is. Were you thinking of trying to make a move on him then?

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried chokes for a moment. "No, that would be... four kinds of improper," he gasps, when he recovers.

[accalia]

Julie: Ah. My apologies then. I'm not well informed about the family structure here it seems. No offense was intended and i regret any that was caused.

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried shakes his head. "No, no offense. I am, as you surmised, attracted to men; between his being a werewolf, my employer, and heterosexual, there's absolutely no way even before you take into account our... genetic similarity."

[accalia]

Julie: Hmm... that is sad then, and with your job you don't get much of a chance to meet other men... I take it you tried to feel out Echo on that matter then? Did that end well?

[yamikuronue]

He shakes his head. "He seems... at best oblivious to the idea, at worst hostile. It is no matter. Perhaps once the finances are sorted more employees can be brought onboard and I'll be able to have some vacation time."

[accalia]

Julie: Oblivious, good word for that. He truly does seem to be oblivious to that aspect of humanity entirely. Or perhaps it's just that he's fixated on someone else from his past and can't see beyond them?

[yamikuronue]

"Very likely." Siegfried sighs. "I wish he would at least let me help him though. It tears me up to watch him suffer like that when I have the power to at least investigate."

[accalia]

Julie: he does seem to be intent on suffering, both physically and mentally. I asked him once about his healing and why he does it when it causes him so much anguish. He told me that it was because that was his purpose, and to not perform his purpose would be a worse pain.

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried sighs. "I can't fault him on that," he says, looking down at his contract. "I, too, have a purpose I must uphold. But at the least, I am able to take comfort where I can."

[accalia]

Julie: i suppose, but why does he reject companionship so much i wonder. he can perform his purpose and still let others into his life.

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods. "Indeed. He reminds me strongly of the Young Master in that way."

[accalia]

Julie: Hmm, you would know better than I. I've only known Lance a few days. Still i suppose it could be a coping mechanism for something...
