Siegfried glances down at the contract again. "He is... concerned about his ongoing inability to control his inner wolf, I'm sure. After what happened to his family, he decided he would never again permit anyone to be around him for longer than an hour or so. Over time that's loosened somewhat,  but he still spends most of his time locked in his room just in case."

Julie: hmm? on! you mean the master? sorry. i was thinking about Echo with that comment.

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried chuckles. "See? They are very similar. And neither will allow me to help them. Lance made it very clear that he wanted none of my help, but at least I can feed him and manage his affairs."

[accalia]

Julie: well that's something at least. But here I am, with a debt to that man that i can't repay.... and that he would probably find insulted if i called him out on that.

[yamikuronue]

"What's this about debt?" Lance calls, jogging down the stairs. His hair is damp, and he's put on a button-up shirt to hide his scars again, but he still seems in a good mood.

"Yours. You owe me a million dollars in back wages," says Siegfried, deadpan.

Lance laughs. "As if. You'd sell the house first."

"Probably," grins Siegfried. "Speaking of..."

Julie: Hello again Lance, We spoke earlier of putting some of the European properties up for sale, you've received some offers for the properties that warrant consideration.

[yamikuronue]

Lance's smile fades, but he still has a seat with a much more relaxed air than usual. "Alright, then. Let's see them."

[accalia]

Julie hands Lance the first of three stacks of documents, now heavily marked up with her own notes. a green pen clipped to the first one.

Julie: These are the ones i think it would be good sense to accept. They're all above market value and the holding companies offering are all well known and reasonably reputable.

Lance skims through, checking to see if they're all for different properties or if there are any competing bids for the same property.

Julie: They'r all for different properties, Several of them do have competing bids but they're all either for less or from a sufficiently less reputable agency. You had said that you wanted to minimize the impact on any current tenants so i weeded out the ones that would be acquiring for rebuilding or business purposes.

[yamikuronue]

"Great." He tosses the stack back at her. "Taking them all would get us the funds we need?"

[accalia]

Julie: not by a long shot. but it would be a good start. I'll start processing those immediately and let you know when we need some authorizing signatures. This next group is several offers that bear consideration. They're all at or a little below market valuation, but they're for very reputable agencies and i think we might not get a better offer on some of these properties for quite some time. Still they're not great offers so you may wish to wait.

Lance shrugs. "I'll level with you: I don't give a crap about any of these properties. I've never seen most of them, and I never plan to. So do what you have to." He gives a dark chuckle. "If my dad wants to curse me for mis-handling it, he can drag himself out of hell to do it. I'd welcome the visit."

Julie: Can I take it then that you are giving me power of attorney in this matter?

[yamikuronue]

Lance glances at Siegfried, who purses his lips together. "I suppose..." begins the butler.

"Grand. Give him the power of attourney." cuts in Lance

"...assuming your uncle approves." he finishes, suspecting this will be a problem. "Why not Julie?"

"You know what you're doing."
