CalamityJade

"So three days out of a month? You're really going to complain about having to plan around that?"

yamikuronue

"Three days out of the month my body will be taken over by a frustrated, angry, bloodthirsty monster who's surprisingly smart, and you're telling me to piss him off more?"

CalamityJade

"I'm not telling you to piss it off. If it was pissed off, it had ample time to attack me since I fought it. And so far it just seemed annoyed at getting orders, but did them anyway. Obviously there's some way to keep the berserk thing from happening, or it also wouldn't have protected Siegfried."

yamikuronue

"...You got the thing to take orders?"

CalamityJade

"Yeah, he stood down from trying to bite through Echo's arm and took Siegfried home once we tied them together." Obsidian shrugged. "Like I said. It's obviously possible."

yamikuronue

Lance stares at Obsidian with an... eerily familiar expression of admiration and respect. Come to think of it, that's about the same expression the wolf had...

CalamityJade

Alright...so...maybe more alike than different. "A-anyway, we'll keep working at it. For now, how about we try to get you comfortable with having a wolf in your head rather than just accepting that it's there."

yamikuronue

Lance blows some hair out of his face. "Right. Comfortable. Sure."

Meanwhile, Siegfried goes to call Sidhe back, having completed his browsing of the contract.

Siegfried dials the number, and once again the machine picks up on the other end. As soon as the machine finishes speaking there's once again that subtle sense of requesting permission. It's not words, more an idea inside his head that came from outside.

yamikuronue

Siegfried grants the permission, sitting back in his chair.

accalia

Sidhe: Good afternoon Siegfried, I take it that Julie has given you the promised contract already?

yamikuronue

"Indeed. It seems acceptable."

accalia

Sidhe: Very well then. If you want it properly notearized ask Julie to do it, She's already authorized as my proxy for this sort of thing.

a pause, a feeling of puzzlement and slight confusion

Sidhe: So, where would you like to start? Everyone experiences the Astral a little differently and I'm not exactly sure how you see it to adapt what I'm doing to your perception.

yamikuronue

"To be honest, I don't typically see it. I tend to hear people's minds as though they were speaking, but with... more detail. When I was searching, I visualized the landscape as best I could, but it was more of a... subconscious feeling than a vision. I felt like I was stretching outward, pulling away from my usual seat, but I didn't really see anything."

accalia

Sidhe: Well aren't you a rare one then! Most people experience the Astral visually, at least partly, and that makes them over reliant on their sight. there is very little that is as it seems in the Astral and relying on what you see as reality is often a fatal flaw.

a pause, and the sensation of an idea

Sidhe: Let's try this. Try to find me, where i actually am, using your gift. Be careful not to leave your body this time. I want you to practice using your gift while staying in your body. That's the best way you have to make sure something doesn't run off with your body while your attention is elsewhere.
