Tale as Old As Time [Finished]

Echo continues to look puzzled, and delays a long time before answering.

"No..... except... no. Not like that at least. Siegfried mentioned something similar recently, before that however... no."

[CalamityJade]

"Did he mention what he was talking about before he said you had seemed to space out?"

[accalia]

Echo doesn't answer for a long time, at this point he is looking very agitated, but his voice when he finally answered shows only the tiniest hint of the discomfort that is written plain and loud in his body language.

"This one does not recall that Siegfried did such a thing. Perhaps it would be better to ask him directly?"

[CalamityJade]

"You may be right...I do apologize for distressing you, but I've had very few times where something like this should not be investigated." That and everything he saw about Echo made him both curious and apprehensive. Obviously more the former than the latter. Morden looked around a little to see if Siegfried was still about.

Siegfried sighs, speaking softly. "Sylphia... he spoke of Sylphia."

[accalia]

At the mention of the name that same presence enters the room in a rush, and is gone again just as quick as it arrives. Echo calms down as his face goes blank for a moment.

This time the aetherial presence registers emotions to Siegfried, possibly it has always done so but the sense of its presence was so strong that until Siegfried was exposed to it several times it was overpowering his more subtle senses. The emotions that Siegfried feels is dominated by pain and fear, but also strong undertones of hope, longing, and recognition.

Siegfried closes his eyes, taking a deep breath. "Pain, fear... hope, longing. Recognition?" His eyes flutter open, his brow pursing in confusion.

"Who are you?"

[accalia]

Echo focuses his eyes at the question, the aetherial presence gone.

"This one is known as Echo, did you expect someone else?"

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried shakes his head. "It's gone now."

[accalia]

Echo looks puzzled.

"Was someone here earlier?"

[CalamityJade]

Morden blinked. "That was....rather unique. I was sure something else had been going on, but this puts a much more interesting spin on things." He turned his attention to Siegfried. "Do you have much more information about what just happened?"

Siegfried shakes his head. "I'm still learning to use my powers. I've put together some theories, but nothing too concrete. Plus... I'm not sure how much I should say about what Echo said when he doesn't recall saying it."

[accalia]

"This one has no secrets. Would it make you more comfortable if this one were not here while you discussed matters"

Echo's body language is polite and restrained but also manages to make it clear that regardless of SIegfrieds comfort it would make Echo very much more comfortable to not be in the room where his past is the subject of conversation.

Morden gave a bit of a nod. "That may be for the best. I would worry about the reaction that you keep having."

[yamikuronue]

Siegfried nods. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to keep... aggravating your condition."
