CalamityJade

"Quite a bit. My attraction isn't an act, for one." Morden takes a small, metal case from his shirt pocket that looked about the right size and shape for contacts. "I am an accountant. It's not the most glamorous job, but it is rather simple. I also offer some extra services that align with my talents. Mostly investigation into curses, unseen forces, that sort of thing. I'm usually tasked with evaluation, but I sometimes can also remove or untangle whatever is causing the problem."

Morden sighs. "I apologize. I tend to be a bit...academic with information. This was supposed to be about telling you about my attraction and that I think you are...cute." For the first time since he arrived, Morden looked slightly unsure of what to say.

Siegfried nods. "You wear glasses to hide the fact that you're also wearing contacts to hide your eyes. You put on a stuffy air despite being generally warm and personable. You dress and act unassuming so you can blend in, and you put out an air of being bland and unobservant, but you see a lot more than you let on."

He hesitates, then adds, "I understand how that feels."

CalamityJade

Morden chuckled. "Right on almost all accounts. I actually can be a little stuffy when I am thinking too hard about a problem or working. That is actually fairly genuine. And as far as the clothing, it was my understanding that accountants dress in that way. I'm not one for bold outfits, but even I find this attire somewhat bland at times."

yamikuronue

"If you'd like to change up your look at all, I do have an eye for fashion..."

CalamityJade

"I may take you up on that..." Morden gave a slight sigh. "And now I have to consider staying here. It's a rather bad plan. For one, you have plenty of protection and for another I am not known for my fighting prowless, but I can't help but find myself worrying for you."

yamikuronue

Siegfried ducks his head. "Please, there's no need to put yourself in harm's way."

CalamityJade

Morden gave a small sigh. "I realize that, but you seem to forget that you are not above putting yourself in harm's way for others."

yamikuronue

Siegfried manages a small, wistful smile. "It's my job."

CalamityJade

Morden gave a slightly frustrated sigh. "Which I understand, but seeing how you seem to neglect yourself for your job, let me be the first to.." He gave a slight chuckle. "Like I said, I can be stuffy. I'm saying that if I want to put myself in danger for your sake, then that is my choice."

yamikuronue

Siegfried sighs, resting his chin on his hand.

"Have you ever met a really good man?" he asks, abruptly.

CalamityJade

Morden thinks a moment. "That would depend on the definition of good. One is a lot rarer than the others, so I imagine you probably mean that one."

yamikuronue

Siegfried nods. "I've met exactly one. I knew right away that he was something special, and within a few weeks of meeting him, I knew I never wanted to let him down. I'd do whatever it took to make him proud, you know?"

CalamityJade

"I could...imagine that, yes." Morden gave a small nod. "I imagine that you're speaking of Lance's father? He was...rather unique, to say the least. Very sure of what he wanted, but still able to see things from other's perspective." He chuckled. "He actually took some time to figure out I was more than a well-referenced accountant."

yamikuronue

Siegfried nods. "He saw the best in everyone, and he made me want to live up to what he saw in me. That's something I will cherish until the end of my days. I know if he were here, he would be concerned about the Young Master, so the best I can do to make things right is to take care of him the best I can."

CalamityJade

"He was a very interesting man...and while I can understand the sentiment, that does not mean that you should do so at the cost of yourself. You should strive for a sort of balance between taking care of him, and letting others try to care for yourself."
