Sidhe continues the attack escalating until the blows striking the shield start to push Siegfried around. As suddenly as the attach begins it stops.

"impressive for a first shield.I know not if it will be enough to protect you from what you will find, but it's stronger now than i could breach without causing harm to you. and frankly i'm not actually sure i could breach it if it came to that

Siegfried smiles a little. "Don't be afraid. If it will help, I can take a few punches."

"It's best not to risk it. any damage you take here will be reflected in reality. And i would not like to cause your new boyfriend distress."

Siegfried blushes hotly. "We're not.... It's that obvious?"

"it was at the front of your mind, I apologize if I should not have mentioned it."

Siegfried shakes his head. "No, it's fine. I'm just... I've never dated before."

"You'll do fine i am sure. you are a good person. Practice that shield more, and let me know when you next try to enter that place. I may have more information for you then."

Siegfried nods. "I likely won't try again until after the full moon. Just to be safe."

Later, once they're well underway, Obsidian spies his nephew carrying a large package of ground beef toward the stairs.

Obsidian raised an eyebrow. "Um...wait, what the hell is that for?"

"Later. He'll be hungry." He shrugs, looking awkward.

Obsidian gave that a weird look. "Point, but couldn't you have just grabbed a couple steaks instead?" Still..he could see the kid was worried. "Lance, don't worry as much. I'm no slouch and I've already shown you I can handle him, okay?"
