"Not talking. There's no flappy mouth things. More like thinking loudly." He sounds a bit petulant.

Obsidian pinched the bridge of his nose. "Great...so you didn't realize that anyone could hear you when you did that?"

"Never did it apurpose." he mumbles, sulkily. "Not sure I like it." His voice isn't quite the same as Lance's; it's got the same tones to it, the same pitch, but it's petulant, sulky, almost childish. It's almost as though the Lance of five or six, being caught stealing cookies, has been given the voice of Lance the grown man to use.

"it's useful. rather hard to get mundies to understand without it. No offense meant there..."

That last comment spoken with head hanging in a defferential manner, clearly directed at Obsidian

Obsidian brings out some of the meat from the fridge. "I'd complain if it wasn't true. This makes a lot of things easier." Obsidian gave Wolf a bit of a look. "So you'd rather make me do all the work so that you're understood. Things don't work that way."

"I don't care if you understand me. You like her better anyway, you can rot." Definitely sounds like a sulky child.

Julie's head snaps around to look at obsidian at that comment. She seems to be sizing him up carefully, after a moment she speaks.

"nah, he's too young for me. It would be cradle robbing and that always leaves a bad taste in ones mouth."

At that, Obsidian chuckles. "Why the hell would you think I like her better? Or do you think that my approval is just that easy to get."

"You won't let me bite her."

"a fact i'm grateful for. i'm old enough now that i prefer to avoid fights if possible"

"You picked on me!" he whines. "You deserve to get bit!"

"Is that really that important that it must be addressed now? do we not have more important matters at hand?"

"No," he growls. "You're in my territory and you're awful."

Obsidian gave a bit of a sigh. "She also helped with getting Sieg back here and not letting the police follow the trail here and have us answer a lot of awkward questions. Meaning I don't have to have them snooping around to see if I'm handling any sort of animals, which I'm pretty sure is something they'd rather me never do."

"I don't care," he snaps, petulantly, ears flat back against his head. "Who is Sieg?"
