Tale as Old As Time [Finished]

Echo pauses at the correct floor for a moment before exiting the stairwell, as the door closes behind them he speaks softly.

"Art thou... are you sure that there is danger from yonde- the young lady? This one senses no hostile intentions in her."

[CalamityJade]

"I would rather be wrong about her having undue intentions than not. I don't plan to hurt her, just see what she wants. To follow us that far may speak to the importance of her intentions, or she may simply be tenatious."

[yamikuronue]

She must have sped up as they paused to talk, because it's not long before the door creeps open, one purple eye showing through the crack.

Morden, for a bit of a surprise had moved closer to the door and made a stern face when it was cracked open. "Is there something I can help you with, ma'am?"

[yamikuronue]

The girl stumbles back, her ballcap toppling back to catch on her hair. Her chestnut hair is pulled into a ponytail, the end of which is threaded through the cap, and there's a pinkish-purple streak on each side of her head that probably looks better when it's not pulled back into a ballcap. Big brown eyes blink up at him beneath long, dark lashes; she has the thin, awkward angles of a teenager but she's lost the baby-look about her face, marking her as a late teen or young-looking early twenty-something.

Echo, now fully supporting Siegfried looks on with interest at the interaction. He remains silent.

Morden blinked a moment as his brain tried to catch up with what he was seeing. He was SURE that her eyes had been...but now they're brown? He didn't trust that he'd missed that, but it was something to file away for now. "Like I said, can I help you with something?"

"Just heading to my room..." she tries, sheepishly.

[CalamityJade]

"Ma'am, I don't believe you would be 'heading for your room' while peeking through doors at people you've been following. Right now, I'm simply curious as to why. I doubt any of us are quite that interesting."

[yamikuronue]

She pulls her hat back onto her head, the sheepish grin fading. "Alright, alright, you caught me. I've been tailing you for a while now. I didn't want to approach you like this per se, but I was going to have to sooner or later."

[CalamityJade]

"What do you mean by 'like this'? And what business do you have me?" And why did she seem somewhat familiar....no, that was definitely something his mind had wrong. Most likely she reminded him of some amalgamation of people he'd met.

[yamikuronue]

"You? Not much." She shrugs. "I get the feeling you're a supporting player here, no offense."

[accalia]

"if not Morden, then who do you have business with? This one thinks you would not follow so unless your business was of some great import."

[yamikuronue]

"And the protagonist speaks!" she says, triumphant and playful.

[accalia]

Echo looks puzzled

"What business would one such as you have with this one. You are not injured so it cannot be for that purpose"
