"Not a clue." She smiles.

[CalamityJade]

"You seem rather....chipper for not having a plan. Especially since you seem somewhat versed into what has happened to him." Morden gave a bit of a sigh as he tried to think over how all of this sounded. "One would think you would find this sort of task somewhat daunting."

[accalia]

"daunting.... that would be one word for it."

[yamikuronue]

"I was born for this. I was hand-chosen by the Violet Lady." She shrugs. "If it was impossible, I wouldn't be given the assignment."

[CalamityJade]

Which never happened, of course. Morden was well aware that there were things that one just could not do, but he didn't know what would be what until he tried. "And what does this do for the Violet Lady?"

[yamikuronue]

She shrugs. "Do you understand how gods think?"

[CalamityJade]

"Generally, in matters like this I believe in what people can do. If the Gods want to be involved, it'd be easier if they gave clear instructions."

[yamikuronue]

She grins. "That's probably wise. I just meant, who knows why they do what they do? She wants this, that's all I know."

[accalia]

Echo wanders back the conversation.

"You were given this task, you must be capable in some way of accomplishing it, no?"

[yamikuronue]

"Exactly. So why worry?"

[accalia]

"Because, if this one understands your intention correctly you plan on ending this one.... That is worrying enough."

[yamikuronue]

"Why?" she challenges, turning her full attention to him.

[accalia]

"Because it would end this one. This one may not be the happiest at this one's position in life, but at least this one knows this one's purpose and there is no small satisfaction in fulfilling that purpose. This one does not know what would follow when this one ends...... This one is scared of that."

[yamikuronue]

"There are worse things."

Siegfried pauses, not yet playing the card in his hand. Echo, admitting fear? That seemed.... worth noting.

[accalia]

"there are. This one knows that, this one has felt one of them in recent past, when this one healed a girl who was dying from a malady spawned beyond the veil, and from fragments of memories and the scars upon this one's body this one suspects one has felt many more, time over time."

Echo pauses for a moment, nervously shuffling the cards in his hands.

"Still, this one fears ending, in a way that is profoundly different than anything this one remembers feeling. Always when healing there was the risk, of taking on more than this body could bear, but that was this ones purpose, that is who this one is now.... but this... just ending.... there is fear there."
