Tale as Old As Time [Finished]

Wolf growls a little, seeing Julie, and tenses, ready to rush at her.

[CalamityJade]

Obsidian looked at Lance. "As long as she's civil, there's no reason to attack her. She gets out of line, you can remind her of it, but don't start a fight."

[accalia]

Julie drops to all fours and looks at Lance quizzically.

"chase squirrel?"

[yamikuronue]

Wolf remains tense, but holds position. "My yard."

[accalia]

Julie appears to shrug.

"But not your squirrels. Chase them? Maybe catch them?"

There's something a little off in her voice, it sounds like Julie to be sure, but the speech pattern is markedly different than normal.

[yamikuronue]

Wolf stares at her for a long moment, before giving a faint growl.

"Chase." he says, sullenly.

[accalia]

"Chase then! Big man chase with us? looks too slow to catch squirrel."

[yamikuronue]

"Big man Alpha," he snaps. "Fast enough."

[accalia]

"you say so."

Another wolf shrug as Julie turns to Obsidian

"Big alpha chase squirrels too?"

[CalamityJade]

Well...THIS is new. A lot less words than he expected and something was off. And while he was fairly sure that chasing squirrels would mean a good amount of wasted time, he needed to keep an eye on both of them. "Sure, why not." He'd have to 'cheat' a little to keep up with the both of them, but it'd be doable as long as they weren't going full tilt for long.

"Chase!"

and with that Julie takes off after a couple of squirrels on the other side of the garden. There's something off about her gait too. Normally it's far more graceful and confident, now it's very much puppy, over exaggerated, ungainly. as if Julie wasn't quite used to her leg arrangement.

Obsidian is sure that this was the reason he didn't have a problem with books. Sure, some of them took way too long to get through, but because other people have to experience SOME of the weird shit in the world it would get recorded. So maybe he would have some idea of what in the actual hell was going on. But for now he'd try to keep up with Julie and...well Lance/Wolf to figure out what happened.

The group spends some time chasing squirrels, unsuccessfully. Eventually Julie slows down to the point that she stops running and flops down on one side panting hard.

"squirrels won. again.... next time... I win..."

Wolf does a victory lap around the collapsed Julie, reveling in his greater stamina -- though truth be told, he was starting to tire as well.

[accalia]

"showoff..."

Julie mutters, Her voice is definitely different, as is her personality. She's never acted this way before, not even in wolf shape.
