Julie says in the tone of voice that usually precedes a "i'm calling bullshit, but politely" comment before switching tactics "Well, If i recall we do have two openings for staff, what with the departure of Rosanna and our dearly departed friend Echo, Maybe we should look to fill those positions?"

Julie blinks at that revelation before shrugging "Well, you have the one opening for staff at least. But tell you what, while i'm out today I'll draw up a contract for my services that you should find quite acceptable, then you won't have to worry about delegating to me, I'll be an official part of the staff. All nice and legal."

Morden blinked a moment. "Hmm...I was under the impression that Echo was being paid out of your own salary." At least that was the assumption that he had been working with.

Siegfried's response is telling: He looks away from Morden, saying brightly, "Well he never collected, so it's academic."

"You would be amazed at how often academic thoughts lead to informed decisions." Morden kept his eyes on Siegfried. "Case in point, were I to take less of a salary, you would be more than capable of affording additional staff."

"And I'm simply going to put that into things for us. My previous dwelling is owned by me, so that is not an issue. Also, while most stereotypes are drasticly overblown, there ARE some truths in them. As such, I work for the enjoyment of it and take payment because that is how things are done. It also keeps me from having to collect things. If a pay cut would allow you to relax enough to sleep and treat yourself like a person, then I would gladly do it."

Siegfried blushes. "I am treating myself as a person." he says, sullenly.

"Then you are doing it poorly." Morden gave Siegfried a small smile. "In light of that, I would suggest that you hire staff, specifically cleaning staff, as I know you enjoy cooking and you may actually wish to sleep at times."

Siegfried sighs. "Fine. I will contact a firm about doing a clean twice a week."

"Grand...and will you also let me help with the baby?"

He sighs. "Fine. But if I see you exhausting yourself, I'm taking her back overnights, understand?"

Morden gave a bit of a smile. "I fully expect you to treat me as I have treated you. I will also let you know if anything becomes too much or if I require assistance, which I am sure will happen with annoying frequency."
