https://what.thedailywtf.com/uid/1727">@cloak15 "Very good." Siegfried pours Morden the last of what's in the pot, then returns it to the coffeemaker, resuming the brewing process. Then he turns his attention to the bacon, taking up a spatula to worry over the frying meat.

Lance groans softly as he puts down his mug. "You are a blessed angel," he comments, but Siegfried makes no reply. He then opens his eyes fully, turning his attention to Morden.

"No baby this morning?"

CalamityJade

"She's still sleeping and I doubt either of us want to wake her just yet, having had something of an evening." Morden took a sip of the coffee, not bothering to blow on it. "And I'd have to agree with the blessed angel comment."

yamikuronue

From behind, he can see the tips of Siegfried's ears turn bright red, but he otherwise makes no reply.

Lance chuckles. "Not sleeping through the night yet?"

CalamityJade

"Not quite. I'm thinking we'll ahve to come up with something of an order, espeically if she's ever going to get used to me." Morden did think the world of the child and Siegfried, but he was fairly sure that she wasn't yet accustomed to how he looked normally. He still would try and get Grace to sleep, but he still felt a little self-concious about it. He did give a slight smile at the obvious blush he could see from here. "Despite what some would think, I don't mind children that much...granted most of them think I might eat them. Silly thing, really."

yamikuronue

Lance makes a face, and for a moment, his eyes look a bit alien. "She's noisy." he says, curtly, then sips his coffee again.

CalamityJade

"I have it on good authority that most children her age are." Morden took another sip of his coffee. "It's simply something that you adjust to till she's comfortable enough to sleep through the night."

yamikuronue

"I'm glad I'm on the top floor then." he says, putting down his mug.

The timer goes off; Siegfried moves to remove the pan from the oven, drizzling icing over it from a small mixing bowl with a wire whisk in it. He then flicks off the oven, moving back to the bacon as he moves the first batch to a plate with a paper towel. A minute after that, he's sliding a plate in front of each of them: Lance's has more bacon, while Morden got an extra cinnamon roll. He then comes back over with the coffee pot.

"Refills?" he asks, trying to sound chipper and bright. Lance nods, holding up his mug.

CalamityJade

I'm alright for now...but I'll probably insist that you fix your own plate and sit down after that. All of us have to eat." Which Morden gave a very 'try and argue' sort of tone to it. If Lance wasn't goign to say anything about it, He sure as hell was.

yamikuronue

"Indeed." Siegfried says, pleasantly. He fills Lance's mug, but then he moves back to the stove to start another batch of bacon instead.

CalamityJade

Morden frowned. "...Siegfried? Did you actually hear what I said?"

yamikuronue

"Of course." He starts putting together another plate, pouring coffee into a mug; he can sense Obsidian approaching,  and there's only enough bacon for one more plate. He can eat with Julie, he figures. Morden will understand.

The first of the two trays of buns emptied, he moves it to the sink. Best to get that washed before the icing hardens onto it.

CalamityJade

Morden sighs and gets up. He didn't need to peek at Siegfried to tell he was only partially listening. "Since you cooked and the like, I'll go ahead and help clean. Meanwhile YOU will sit down with some coffee and food and eat."

yamikuronue

"No, please. Sit. I have this down." He smiles, tiredly. "Here, bring that plate with you -- the Young Master's uncle will be here shortly, and he can be cranky."

CalamityJade

"It has nothing to do with you 'having this down'. I am fairly sure I can clean a pan while you get some food."

yamikuronue

Siegfried's reply is tired but firm: "Let me do my job, please."
