There's actually remarkably few buttons in the car, just the radio and police scanner really, so Tony probably was joking... maybe.

"Right then. Officially you'll be.... hmm. i can probably get away with saying seventeen if you can pull off sullen Teenager. That will give me a good excuse to keep you under my thumb, and for sending Kitten out on patrol in my place tonight." Tony remarks as he puts the car in gear and starts driving, He remains silent as he drives and it's not long before he pulls up in front of Big Tony's Deli. "Y'want something to eat too? Figure you won't be able to order for yourself if you're talking yourself."

yamikuronue

"It's cool. Big Tony knows me." He shrugs. "I can probably talk him into a discount if ya want."

accalia

"Don't think so. Might be unwanted questions." Tony says as he gets out of the car and walks into the diner.

yamikuronue

"Well, if it isn't my favorite people!" Big Tony was a fat, jolly, brown man, usually seen wearing a white apron (as he was today). He was always greeting Tony that way: a big grin and an exaggerated amount of goodwill. It was probably part of the cover, come to think of it. He'd seen Big Tony lift huge containers of oil like they were nothing, indicating there was considerably muscle under the fat; stuff him in a suit and lose the smile and he'd make a great goon. His sandwiches were almost too cheap to be believed, but they tasted great -- another sign he might be doing the dirty on the side. Well, he clearly was, given the circumstances.

"Andy, Vic, good to see you both! What brings you here?"

"Business," says Vic, curtly.

accalia

"Wish i could say it's business Tony, but alas no, I'm here to sing for my supper." Tony replies jovially to the big man behind the counter. He's in often enough that he's used to the banter and enjoys playing along. "What do you have in the back for a poor man forced to wear the copper accented blues? Something piled high with pastrami? or maybe a bowl of your famous chowder?" It seems Tony's a fan of ordering the 'Dealers Choice' option from the menu, not a popular choice, but those who order it almost invariably come back for more.

yamikuronue

"Tell you what. I'll make you both a Tori Special, on the house." Vic's heart stops in his chest for a moment; he coughs to try and cover his surprise. What the fuck did Big Tony think he was playing at!?

"Uh, sure." he says, with another small cough.

accalia

Tony on the other hand doesn't skip a beat, he's plainly done this dance before. "No can do there. I'm on the clock and bossman said i can't take no handouts. Tell you what though, you can make the Tori Specials for us sure, and put them on my tab. I'll settle up tomorrow as that's payday down at the precinct."

yamikuronue

"I'd say that sounds gravy, Andy," he says with a smile. "But Vic here don't pay, them's the rules. Cousins don't pay." Wait, is Vic related to this guy? Or does he mean like Family?

Vic coughs again, grabbing one of the order slips and a pen from behind the counter. "Oh, that's right, I had a message for Johnny. You'll see him later?"

"Yeah, course I will. Don't you worry about a thing, Little Vic."

He mumbles something that sounds suspiciously like "not little" under his breath as he writes.

accalia

"You're breaking my heart Tony." Tony complains half heartedly, easily continuing the banter. "I bring Vic here for dinner because i owe him and you won't let me buy it for him. That's cruel and unusual I tell you, not letting a man pay his debts with the finest food for at least fifty mile."

yamikuronue

"Andy, Andy, my dear sweet mother in heaven would kill me where I stood if I charged sweet little Vic here for a sandwich." Big Tony begins getting out bread, cheese, and.. is that apple slices? And onions?

accalia

"And she would with good reason too." Tony agrees, easily keeping up the thread of banter "Look then, I'm suddenly real hungry. Make both of them for me why don't you? then i can pay for them, because they're for me, not Vic here. You see?"

yamikuronue

Big Tony lets out a jovial laugh, his belly quaking with the force of it. "I like your spunk, Andy! Alright then. Two sandwiches for you." he adds some butter to the outsides of the sandwiches, folding them together and sliding them onto the grill. Oh! That makes sense! It's like a grilled cheese?

accalia

Tony smiles, he always "wins" this argument with Tony, but the joy's not in the willing, else they wouldn't have it every time he came here for dinner. "It's a deal then. And the full value on the tab if you please, the boss will tan my hide me if he finds out i paid less than full price for anything while on the clock."

yamikuronue

"I wouldn't want you getting any trouble, now," he says, jovially, as he slides the melty, gooey sandwiches off the griddle. "You have a seat? Or is the boss keeping you on your feet today?"

accalia

"Got to dash unfortunately." Tony sighs "There's no rest for the wicked, and that means no rest for me either. Thanks for the dinner, and i'll be sure to stop by tomorrow and settle that tab."
