i was writing it that he was as old as he usually is, but it didn't work in this setting and i had to change it.

Oh? what would it have been?

normally Echo is significantly older.... like pre-gunpowder old.

he's a fighter in a war, a general leader of men. His partner is also a general, but Echo doesn't know it. she kept it hidden because she's in the opposing army. They eventually meet on the battle field and fight, she knowing who he is deliberately throws the fight and is killed..... then he finds out who he was fighting.

after that point he turns his power on himself and curses himself to walk the world healing, yet never healed until the day that his love reincarnates and they are reunited.

in the original story his curse was so effective that not even regular healers could heal him, that was dropped when i used him again in table top gaming because that would have made him too short lived. so instead when healed he always gets a scar, even if the healing spell would have prevented it.

I did a character once in DnD 3.5 that can't be healed by positive energy nor harmed by negative energy.
