Ambition: Top criminal investigator with the Police Department
Sam describes himself as the "tenth son of the Tomas Locke", a relatively quiet but influential upper class business person, one that would be known to have nine sons and one daughter.  Sam is an avid reader of crime dramas, and has aspirations to working with the police as a crime scene investigator. While he is waiting for his chance to break into anticrime he works as a private eye to make ends meet.
In between cases that actually put food on his plate Sam tries to find out information about the disappearance of a long time friend. It's slow going and the trail is growing rather cold.

Just some notes:

The Exchange, the business district in downtown New Avalon.

the Sea Pearl Quarter. You know, the places that sometimes get a good view of the bay?" And were somewhat...domestic. But that might have to do for now.

the Tin Quarter was where a lot of the Waiting lived. It tended to be a bit rough at the best of times, especially if they thought you had anything valuable or were Welcomed.

He would find later that the address was only somewhat into the Tin Quarter, which meant he could actually get fairly close by Trolly. The Tin District, which was called that due to being part of the original settlement that became New Avalon, was somewhat run down in spots and it was where a lot of the Waiting called home. The sidewalks were a little cracked and he could swear that all the color seemed to drain out of the air just from crossing over into it but it didn't look like a 'sloven hole in the ground that collected gutter trash.' Which is the image a lot of the Welcomed Nathaniel had talked to had about the place.
