Go Down

Carver Amell

"....oh," he says, after a long moment, running a hand over his face. "Yes. Draslina or the Oak, depending how far we want to go. Which direction we want to go. That would be... sorry. We were talking about my beliefs and then you... I'm sorry, I'm being an ass."

Tethras Clan

Zevran pauses, considering that. "I... yes, I can see that as being- sorry. But yes, I meant... healers for us and theological experts for you to speak with and work out things with."

Carver Amell

"Draslina is... intimidating," he says, slowly. "I... The Oak is more... friendly. Easier to navigate. But there's not as many Asteans."

Tethras Clan

"Well, we can go to the Oak to start. We can always go to Draslina later."

Carver nods. "Yeah. They helped me before, maybe they can help again."

Tethras Clan

"Do you... I think it likely that you will wish to go slower than I, so I shall ask you first- what do you wish to do about us for now?"

Carver Amell

"I... I don't know. Maybe nothing. You're in a better position to help Bela, and I'm sure once she's awake that's going to take a lot of your time."

Tethras Clan

"Likely so," Zevran admits. "Though I think you underestimate your own value and importance. To both of us."

Carver Amell

"Maybe," he says, rubbing the back of his head. "I'll tell them to set a course for the Oak, then?"

Tethras Clan

"That seems the best bet, yes. Thank you, mon bouclier," he says softly.

Carver Amell

He flushes just a little. "Sure. Of course."

Isabela

Once Carver leaves, once Zevran settles back into place, and a little longer after that, Bela tenses, shifting in that small way that shows her sleep is troubled. It isn't long after that before she starts awake, gripping the blanket, ready to fight, to defend herself from whatever dream she was having.

"Hawke," she whimpers to the pillow, as she lets go of the blanket, a tear or two leaking from her eyes. Then she is awake, fully, wiping the tears away as she sits up.

"Good morning," she says, sounding tired, but upbeat. "I suppose there's no point trying to go back to sleep," she adds, glancing at the sun peeking through the shade over the window.
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Tethras Clan

"It is not as if we have a pressing engagement," Zevran replies, voice a bit thick with sleep. And that name, muttered in pain and longing. "What is the point of being in charge if you cannot decide to give yourself a lazy morning every now and then?"

Isabela

She grins, though it doesn't reach her eyes. "Well, if it's a lazy morning you're after," she begins.
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Tethras Clan

Zevran's eyes dart up to Isabela's, narrowing somewhat. After a long moment, he shakes his head. "I... I would like to hold you, if you allow, but I am not... up for more than that," he finally murmurs.
