Lightsong gives Marian one last squeeze before rising to go over to Carol. "How you doing?" she asks very quietly, not wanting to interrupt the others. Though evidently, she should have...

"If I had a minor artifact that gave me a power boost like that, I wouldn't care if it made me an elf while I used it," Varric says bluntly. "And good for you if you like it. If you can like a quirk of a job that others might hate, just means you're better suited for it than most.

[Shisou]

"I-I-I... I... I didn't... I mean... there's... even b-b-before the a-amulet I was a... I j-just... I c-c-can't h-help it, I'm d-d-defective, b-but I ... I'm n-not a b-boy."

Carol shakes her head, swallowing hard. "F-fine," she whispers.

Helene stares openly at Shisou. "Query," she says quietly. "Have you ever been evaluated by a mind-healer?"

[Shisou]

Shisou rubs at his eyes, his glasses rising up his face a bit, and nods. "H-h-he s-said I was, um, d-deviant, b-but... I j-just... I f-feel happier as a g-g-girl. That... that's all. And, and I c-can't fight w-without my amulet s-so.. so why c-can't I be a g-girl?"

Vigile blinks a few times. "Oh, this is not just a disguise? I see..." He hums softly, then shrugs tiny kitty shoulders. "If your shell is misshapen, seeking a corrective process seems reasonable. And I cannot help but strongly approve of your drive to protect others."

"You seem... rather curious about her amulet?" the aasimar murmurs quietly.

"N-no, I... I'm just staring at nothing," she murmurs. "Tired."
