[Marian Hawke]

"I'm sure Seeker only meant..."

[Shisou]

Shisou shoots her a glare. "P-p-people always o-only m-meant."

[Varric]

"Seeker, you do realize how rare our condition is, right? The odds of not just three but four of us meeting by chance is pretty freaking low. Besides, she displays none of the other symptoms or signs aside from some scant eye contact. Which is probably because she's nervous about revealing a deep and personal secret that often gets them a of bullshit and trouble heaped on her. So maybe we can all back off a bit yeah?"

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene bows her head, hands trembling a little. "I-- I only hoped-- I only hoped that I had found-- But, no, please forgive me. Varric is quite right. Your condition and mine are entirely dissimilar." 

[Shisou]

The hint of fire -- of Soushi-hime -- in Shisou's eyes dies down, and he looks mollified. Hoped. She hoped I was like her. "Oh," he says quietly. "I'm sorry. I..."

[Marian Hawke]

Marian frowns, looking at Varric. "It's a sign?" she asks, hesitantly. "Of.. being like this? But..."

[Varric]

"It's like a cough- it can be a sign of a lot of things." Varric pauses. "Wait, do you mean specifically being a different gender than your shell or something more broad?"

[Haliel Lightsong]

"You don't seem all that tired. More..." Lightsong hesitates. "Hungry."

[Bethany]

"More broad than...? Like... what do you mean?"

[Varric]

"One common sign of our condition- I refuse to call it dream-taken, so hence force I am naming it... atypical cognitive pattern, or ACP. One common sign of ACP is that they have atypical sexual preferences or gender behaviors. Which makes sense, we think differently. So... why that about that too?"

[Marian Hawke]

"Yeah, but that's what I mean, though-- you're not, right? and I'm not-- I mean, I guess, sexual preferences, but, not the... Shisou's thing, and Seeker's not, so, why is this even coming up? How did she even know?"

[Varric]

"...she's Seeker?" Varric says with a grin. "Of course she researched something after finding out about it, especially something that affected her personally. And... well, it occurs to me- have you eve asked Seeker? I haven't."

[Carver Amell]

Carol shakes her head. "No, I-- I'm not-- I just... "

[Marian Hawke]

Marian frowns. "Well, I mean, she's a girl, right?" 

She looks back at Seeker. "Right?"

[Helene Dakesh]

And well she is to question -- Seeker is rocking back and forth, biting her lower lip, staring at the ground. She doesn't answer.
