The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Carver Amell]

Carver hangs back, worrying at his lip. Finally, he asks, "Beth, are you... pregnant?"

[Bethany]

Beth doesn't respond for a bit, but finally pulls herself back together. "Uuuug," she moans softly, wiping her mouth with a sleeve. "Gods I hate that," she mutters, still kneeling on the ground. 

[Carver Amell]

Carver watches her, shifting his weight a bit, his stomach twisting in knots. Is there any bit of family I don't destroy? Just by being myself? "You alright?" he manages to say.

[Bethany]

"I..." Beth's mouth twists a bit. "Not great but... It just... Sometimes it just comes back and I can- can feel him... hurting me again. Curse of having a keen imagination, I guess," she says, voice forcefully bright.

[Carver Amell]

"I-- I know what you mean," he whispers, then looks away. "We should get to the healer's hall," he says, still quietly, but less so, firmer. 

[Bethany]

"I... yeah. But- I never- you asked if- no. I... I've never- he... put his hand... It was just that- that time and he didn't- didn't get far and-" She swallows thickly. "Sorry. Word soup there. I never- I've only ever had the one lover, Zevran. Fooled around a bit, okay, kind of a lot, with Shan and now some with Sou, but... thats all. I talk a bigger game than I've actually played.

[Carver Amell]

"As if that's nothing," he says bitterly. 

[Bethany]

Beth blushes a little. "One and two halfs isn't that much," she protests.

[Carver Amell]

"I've only-- with Jadan. I've only had a dick for a day!"

[Bethany]

"And you almost had a threesome already," Beth teases him.

[Carver Amell]

He reddens a little. "Let's just go."

[Bethany]

Beth grins at him. "It's fine, you know. You were lopey from lack of sleep and high emotions. And... it was kind of flattering. Anyway. You and Merrill, huh?"

[Carver Amell]

"Could you not?" he snaps. "The last thing I need is your medd--"

He cuts himself off, then, looking away. "Sorry," he mutters. 

[Bethany]

Beth looks shocked a moment. "I- what? I wasn't- what was that about?"

[Carver Amell]

Carver looks away. "Just, the last time you took interest in my relationships it didn't go well for me, did it?"
