Go Down

Haliel Lightsong

A horrified look shows on her face and she takes a step back. ''No! I- that is only for evil that refuses redemption or penance. I just- I just wanted to ask if I could help. Even if it's just listening to your troubles.''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"You a healer?" she asks again, looking her over. "I don't mean battle-healer, neither."

Haliel Lightsong

"I... yes? I know basic mundane healing, I can cure traumas of all kinds combat caused or not, remove weariness but not true exhaustion, and remove all but the worst diseases with one attempt, I am trained in emotional counseling, and help control fear of all sorts," the paladin recites, feeling a bit like she's reporting to a new supervisor.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"I got the cunt-pox," she admits. "An' Jay'll positively lose it if I don't come back cured. Of all the stupid things to get caught over, goddamn dee-dubs!"

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong stares a moment. "The... what? You- I understand maybe half of that?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"I got the cunt-pox," she says again, meeting her eyes. "Need a cure, yah?"

Haliel Lightsong

''Is... is that... what it sounds like?'' Lightsong asks tentatively. You can... get pox on just... there?
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"Ye-es?" she says, blinking.

Haliel Lightsong

''My teacher has... clearly skimped out on some important facts,'' Lightsong mutters to herself. ''Yes. It's not magical, is it?''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"Gods no. I hope not. No, they cure it an' don't charge me gold pieces, it can't be magic."

Haliel Lightsong

''Okay, good. Very few natural diseases are all that resistant. May I touch your hand to heal you?'' The paladin asks politely.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

Brianne holds out her hand, watching her carefully.

Haliel Lightsong

Noting the wariness, Lightsong doesn't clasp her hand but merely rests two fingertips on the back of the merikos catfolk's hand. A pulse of gold light washes across their hands, sinking into the afflicted woman in a rush of optimistic compassion.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

Brianne's eyes drift closed, and she relaxes, then, letting the healing flow through her. "Thanks, sis," she says, ears drooping a bit as she untenses. "You saved my stripy hide. I couldn't work like that."

Haliel Lightsong

Sis. A thrill washes through her at the word, thoughts darting back to Marian. Bells. ''I'm glad I could help. But... who is Jay?'' Her tone hardens, just a little, at the question.
I am the Light of My Soul.
