Haliel Lightsong

''Tests can be faked,'' Lightsong says, voice firming a bit. ''And you have other options. Withdraw symptoms pass. Less than a week for nearly all drugs, at least the physical stuff you just described.''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"Not the jitters," she disagrees. "Those stick with you, but dee-dubs eases it off, makes the-- the other symptoms more tolerable. Girl's gotta eat, yah?"

Haliel Lightsong

''Jitters? That shouldn't...'' Lightsong looks down at the ground, trying to recall her lessons. ''I suppose I really only made a study of immediate effects. I am not a long-term care healer...'' Lifting her gaze, she inclines her head. ''Thank you for enlightening me.''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

Brianne gives her an odd look. "Sure," she says after a moment. "Anyway. See ya around, healer girl."

Haliel Lightsong

''Wait a moment? Please? You- you... your words and expression implied that you were worried about... your health in ways that had nothing to do with your illness. Are you in danger?''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

She pauses, rolling her eyes. "I'm a whore, ain't I?" she asks.

Haliel Lightsong

''...yes? You said as much and I have little reason to disbelieve you.''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"So of course I'm in danger. I'll cope. Always have."

Haliel Lightsong

''But- why? If you are in danger, why not go to a temple? Or the guard, I suppose, as that is not the same here.'' Which is very strange.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"To get arrested? You're really slow, ain'cha?"

Haliel Lightsong

''Why would you're not registered,'' Lightsong realizes abruptly. That... that explains a great deal of her and the Ray's behavior. Do... do they not do that... oh. That... explains even more. ''I gather the Bastion church does not oversee and support a guild for brothel workers in Nyra?''
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"A what?" She shakes her head. "Nah. If yer' licensed ya got options but nobody licenses cats, we're too common. Best Basty'll do is heal us up when we're sick, unless we're trash like me, smokin' dee-dubs. Then we get to die in the streets I guess. No hope for us."

Haliel Lightsong

''You needn't do that,'' Lightsong says absently. ''I would help regardless.'' Not entirely sure how yet but... ''Tell me more about your situation?'' Varric often says that the more you know, the better you can plan.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

She narrows her eyes again, suspicious. "Why? I'm nothing special. Just your average addict streetwalker."

Haliel Lightsong

''All souls deserve compassion,'' Lightsong repeats, lips curving in a warm smile. 'It is... a difficult ideal to hold fast to, yes, but all souls should be given hope, care and support, from the noblest saint to the foulest villain. Obviously not the help they might wish, for the later, but...'' She shrugs a little. ''You are not even evil, simply suffering and trying to survive under hardship.''
I am the Light of My Soul.
