"No, no. I'm fine." Just my pride.

"Good," Haliel says with clear relief. Turning the corner, Marian sees that the aasimar has lead to them to the bathes. "Then getting cleaned up and having a soak is just what the healer ordered." She smiles wistfully, eyes a little distant. "That always helped Alan when he was upset or feeling down." A soft laugh. "Though I should not imply it was not a blessing to me as well."

"Oh," says Marian, startled. "Uh. Thank you."

Haliel glances over at Marian, lips curved. "I am a bit upset with you, about going to such a place, especially alone. But you would not have done so without reason and you are clearly heartsick. So. Comfort first, then explanations, then I might scold you if it seems necessary." By the time she finishes her explanation they've entered the bathing chambers. Moving to a bench, Lightsong begins to strip. "I think there are herbal satchels if you want one for the water. Muscle balm, cleansing, and simply scented ones."

It seems Marian has stopped listening, fascinated by Lightsong's shoulders, her arms, the promise of her breastband. She shakes herself, swallowing. "Huh? Oh. Thanks." Stupid, don't get caught staring!

Poor dear... she's clearly more unsettled than she is trying to let on. So distracted... "Of course. Did you want to pick one or just plain or... should I?" I rather like the orange one... As considers this, she carefully folds her night robe and sets it on the bench, then starts unwinding her breatband with her back to Marian. Come to think of it, given her size, she really should be wearing proper underwear, not just a linen strip. Not that it seems to be bothering her but still.

Marian Hawke

"Um, your call," she says, lifting her tunic over her head rapidly. She slips out of her leggings, then, watching Lightsong's back. I wonder if she's sapphic like me? No, probably not. The pretty ones never are. She unwinds her breastband, then, not at all worried about the support the simple linen strip can give. It's not like she has a lot to work with. Even my sisters have more. Stupid elf dad.

Quickly folding her breastband, Haliel slips off the last of her underwear. And, like fate hates Marian, tips it off the bench so she has to lean over it and pick her clothes up. "I'm partial to the fruit and citrus scents myself. The orange blossom and ginger root particularly. Oh, I should let you set the temp, I have a pretty high heat tolerance and I don't want to burn you." As she finishes, she turns around and walks past Marian towards the cubbies on the wall without any apparent concern of her nudity.

Praise Ciren, thinks Marian, watching Lightsong with wide eyes. "That sounds great."

Pausing a few feet away, Haliel turns to face Marian fully. "M- Bells, are you okay? You look... unbalanced. And flushed." She scowls, setting her hands on broad hips. "Were you drinking or... worse?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

That only makes the flush worsen. "N-no ma'am," she says, staring openly. "It's just... you're very pretty."

Haliel stares a moment, then flushes a little. "I- thank you?" she says with uncertainty. Wait, didn't she mention she used to be Astean? So that makes sense but... still. "Umm. Sorry, I just... that isn't a... compliment I get often. It... was a compliment?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Yes," she says, licking her lips. "I-- I mean-- Sorry, I'm sure you're not--"

She looks down, then, swallowing, as she slips her panties off. stupid. She's not looking for that from you.

When she stands back up, Haliel is still there. A little closer in fact, with worried eyes and a comforting smile. "Talk to me, M-" Eyes dart to the door, then she steps even closer and finishes with a whisper. "Marian? What's wrong?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"N-Nothing-- Nothing's wrong I just--"

Gods, she's so--

Marian leans forward, then, planting her lips on Lightsong's.
