[Varric]

Varric chuckles. "Profitable though, in a number of ways. Nice to see you voicing how much you care about her, I know how hard it is for you to put emotions to words. Or guess what others are feeling. Probably good that she got you for that reason too."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene nods. "This one has not been a good role model for emotions, unfortunately. Nor social pleasantries. Perhaps this one should suggest the apprentice inquire at Danvers for assistance."

[Varric]

"Seeker..." Varric growls softly, a gentle warning. "She doesn't need that shit. You have a much more severe condition and you don't need it so why should she? All she needs is some practice with being who she actually is instead of playing roles."

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one has not yet accumulated enough time to verify the stability of this one's condition," cautions Helene. 

[Marian Hawke]

But Marian, on the other side of the book fort, isn't listening anymore. She's backing away in horror as realization hits: I'm... like Seeker? I'm... defective? I need to be...?

She turns, then, all thought of kabobs vanishing as she pushes her way past Brianne, out of the library.

[Bethany]

Seeing her sister rushing towards the exit, Beth rises to her feet and hurries after, worry clear on her face. Her disguised face, now cast with sylph features, as she can adopt an auran accent fairly easily.

[GamesMaster]

Brianne blinks, too slow to stop Marian, but she gets in the way of Beth. "Hey, we have a problem, where's Varric and the Seeker?" she asks, tail lashing. "I can go after her if you can get them to the Temple. The other Temple. The-- Living Waters."

[Bethany]

"I don't know what- she was supposed to be asking if they wanted lunch as well but-" Beth bites her lip, then sags into herself. "Fine. Run and catch her, I'll get Brain One and Brain Two."

[GamesMaster]

Brianne nods. "And be careful. That short-skirt hero girl said the Guard is looking for you." 

Brianne turns then, heading out after Marian. 

[Bethany]

Beth blinks at Brianne's retreating back, then bolts to the two Seekers as panic surges. "We-have-to-run-Soushi-hime-says-guards-are-after-us-we-have-to-run-now-hurry!"

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene looks up, alarmed. "Guards? In the temple?"

[Varric]

Varric frowns, looking around. "I doubt it- did she say after us or a particular person or subset of us?"

[Bethany]

"Umm. Me? I think. But- you- Brianne said to go- all of us have to go Living Waters," she babbles.

[Helene Dakesh]

"Ah -- yes, of course. I will pack my books straightaway."

[GamesMaster]

They run into Soushi-Hime and her backpack on the way -- it turns out, a few changes of clothes and a cage for Carbonne don't take very long to pack. As they assemble in Lightsong's room, Brianne returns -- alone.

"She lost me in a crowd," admits Brianne, ears drooping. "Sorry."
