The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Shisou]

"I-- the i-item is--"

Here she glances down at Carbonne, who harrumphs. "The amulet chooses a set form. So long as she looks different, it doesn't matter the base sex. Frankly, it didn't always change the base sex, just the appearance."

Shisou blushes. "S-s-so... y-yeah. I j-just want to f-find out h-how m-much it'd c-cost, f-for now... to ch-change m-my b-base f-form."

[Bethany]

"Oh. Okay, yeah, that makes sense too- Shisou into Soushi-hime is a great disguise but even Shiori into Soushi-himeis pretty solid too." She cocks her head, lip being sucked behind her teeth. Given the calculating look in her eyes, Shiori would realize by now that that's Beth figuring out how to put a somewhat pushy or weird request into words without giving offense.

[Shisou]

Shisou swallows. "W-w-walk w-with m-me?" he asks, shifting a little. I don't want to take up too much time, especially if it's going to be more than I can reasonably pay.

[Bethany]

Beth nods easily, hugging Shiori's arm to her as they walk. "So... ummm. This might be... kind of weird but... Okay, J-Jadan figured out your identity, right? Do you have any idea how?" It had taken more than one talk with Roland and Shiori, mostly separate but sometimes with both, but Beth is finally, slowly, working her way through her rape. At least enough that she can refer to Jadan without dancing around names.

[Shisou]

"N-no," she whispers. "I h-have n-no id-dea."

[Bethany]

"Right. And... we can't be sure if he told anyone. So... I mean, Carver doesn't look much like he used to, but he's clearly, uh, well- It would be hard to claim not to be his own brother, if that makes sense. I guess- I guess what I'm kind of wondering is if maybe you should ask to... not just be girl-you?" she finishes weakly. "Like... just makes some tweaks? Taller, shorter, new eye color... maybe even toss in a merkos something if you- I mean, I don't want to... push or anything, just... This isn't something you can get done often or anything so... thought I'd mention it?"

[Shisou]

Shisou looks down at her hands, a rueful smile on her face. "D-d-d'ya kn-know... if I... if I a-asked, and w-was m-made to  be a n-neutrois... My f-f-amily..."

She is quiet for a few moments, then, reflecting on how things would go if she turned up back home, a girl, but the very thing her family sought after for so long.

[Bethany]

"Neutrois?" Beth asks curiously. "Are... are the rest of your family netrois?" Gods, that must be terrible... to be the only one of your race in your family, never feeling like you fit in, never belong. Especially with the aging differences...

[Shisou]

"N-no. In Toukami... m-my family needs o-outsider bl-blood, or we'll lose h-honor and s-status. I w-was ex-pected to m-marry an o-outblood to h-hopefully h-have a ch-child that... b-bore the t-traits."

[Bethany]

"Oh." Wait. "Umm. When you say... honor and status..." she asks carefully.

[Shisou]

"M-my f-family w-was N-noble, yes," he says, softly, looking away. "B-but, I g-gave a-all that u-up."

[Bethany]

"Hey, I was just curious, it's fine," she says soothingly. "We can ask about adding Outblood if you want, or you can just do some tweaks or add elven or catfolk or whatever you want. If Dau can even do that."

[Shisou]

"N-no," she says, after a moment. "I... l-like being h-human. I don't... I d-don't want to ch-change for my Family. Not e-ever. I th-think... Carver's so b-brave, and you're so b-brave.. I want to be like you two. I w-want to be Shiori, n-not.. who I w-was."

[Bethany]

"Then human it is," Beth says firmly, very much in the camp of becoming who you are inside, instead of changing yourself to fit the needs of those who just want to use you. "What about... sister versus tweaks?"

[Shisou]

"I... I w-would l-like to s-still l-look like my s-sisters," she says slowly.
