Go Down

Wylde

Private Lowell -- Wylde -- snorts. "Have you ever tried to bring people together? Even just a handful? It's impossible, what you're asking."

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch shakes her head in negation.

"Not impossible. Almost impossible. That makes all the difference."

She's not sure exactly how the citizens can become a people, but she's sure that's what it'll take to fix things. To make what is Us versus Them into We.... It must be possible, she is certain.

Father Lelldorin

"Then it seems that your first task is to learn. To unite a group, you must know how to inspire and motivate them. To do that, you must understand them," Lelldorin says with a smile. "I would further recommend that you start small. Nothing entices the average soul into joining a cause like seeing success."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Solras, The Protector

"You have a suggestion." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch states? questions? it's hard to tell with her monotone which is which. Given the look she sends to Father Lelldorin, it's probably a statement...

Father Lelldorin

"I've already made it," the priest says gently. Evidently, he wants the pair to work it out themselves from here, at least for now.
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch tilts her head in puzzlement, clearly having just put two and two together and come up with an apple fritter. Maybe it's just going to take more time for the suggestion to sink in?

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch has the day off. This is unusual; very few days off are granted to Privates, even Elder Privates. But thanks to the temporary suspension, she has the day off. That means exploring, and that means finally getting a chance to try this new bar she's heard of. After all, most of her drinking spots were loud and crowded; everyone knows Dwarven taverns serve the best ale, after all.

She realizes her mistake as soon as she walks into the joint. There's a bartender and two serving girls, as expected; however, all three have fur, and the girls are wearing very little clothing. Seems like there's extras available in the back room. Most of the clientele are also cats, though there's a few kobolds and a rowdy goblin in the corner. It's quieter. It's less crowded. But it's also a cat bar. Will she stay and drink?

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch looks the bar over carefully. Then shrugs and approaches. She wants to make the city whole, and one cannot do that if they reject a part of the city themselves. Besides, this place was highly recommended, so she should at least give it a try.

She gets several stares as she heads in, but not too many. The cat behind the bar asks for her drink order, makes her drink as she settles into the bar.

And before too long, puts down a second beside her half-empty first. "From the guy down the end," he says, indicating a tabby catfolk with an empty seat beside him.

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch takes a long look at the drink, she wasn't planning on a second round... But the first mug was turning out to be significantly better than expected... and.... oh what the heck, if his intentions aren't honorable she can just kick him with her steel boots and walk out while he's trying to recover.

Shrugging Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch picks up her now three quarters empty drink, and the new one and walks over to the tabby with the empty seat.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing in a dive like this?" he asks, as she sits. His tone is pleased, his sandy black-ringed tail swaying a bit, the tip quirked with curiosity.

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch raises an eyebrow, Dwarven fashion being what it is it's a bit surprising that the cat picked that up so easily. There's not much difference between Dwarf men and women, except for the beard, and there's a fair few clans that go clean shaven by habit anyway.

"I was told that it would be quieter than a dwarven bar." is the simple response, completely ignoring the attempt at flirting... for now anyway, if it gets too much the steel boot options' always at the ready.

GamesMaster

"Quieter? Mayhap." The feline's tail curls a little, and he takes a sip from his drink. Truth be told, there's not that much difference between male and female catfolk, either -- it's not as if they have long hair, so the flat-chested females are often mistaken for males and vice versa. Perhaps this is a female after all? No, the barkeep would be able to tell, surely.

"Until a fight breaks out, anyway."

Solras, The Protector

"And why would a fight get started here? The tables hardly look sturdy enough to withstand a battleaxe." Well, that's true. the furniture in dwarven bars is either built to stand up to a full on seven day dwarven brawl, or is kindling ten minutes into the first fight of the night.

Dispite herself Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch finds herself smiling at the catfolk, he's at least interesting.

GamesMaster

"The tables? I'd be more worried about the railings." He flicks his eyes upward, indicating the second-story landing and the sturdy, hardwood railing there.  There's also a chandelier, again sturdy, hung with an iron chain.
