The Midnight Prince

[Rokag]

"I was more worried about hurting you. I didn't know what Indou was gonna have you do, and I know you wouldn't actually want to do any of it, so..." Rokag shook her head. "I'm not letting him do that to you again, alright? No matter what you say."

[Shisou]

"It wasn't as bad as it looked. I just... I wanted to steal things, and lying felt natural, easy. That's all."

[Rokag]

"I didn't know. For all that I'm apparently 'blessed' I don't know the first thing about magic or any of that crap."

[Shisou]

"I only know a little," admits Shiori. "Well enough to cast some things, but that's all. I've never heard of a spell that turns you into a bad person."

[Rokag]

"Well...their is. Maybe we can find a reason for him to be busy long enough to get some help and then we'll do this, alright?" She held Shiori tightly, feeling, for at least a little bit, relief. "...shit...guess we're lucky he didn't figure out how to get you to change, right?"

[Shisou]

"I guess," she admits, hugging Rokag a little tighter. 

[Rokag]

"....I also might have almost killed Indou when he tried to hurt your mom and didn't know I was there." that came out in one big rush.

[Shisou]

"...tried to hurt my mom?"

[Rokag]

"I went to talk to her to try and help you and he...came in at a bad time." Rokag looked away. "A-anyway, I just...didn't want you to find out later from someone who wasn't me."

[Shisou]

"No, what do you mean, he tried to hurt her? Like hit her? Or?"

[Rokag]

"He was...triying to relieve himself." Rokag grimaced. "He grabbed her head and I...kinda came out of my hiding spot to try and stop him." She'd hoped that they wouldn't have to go through that again. "He tried to attack me and it...went badly. I don't think he remembers it."

[Shisou]

Relieve himself, like pissing? Or-- oh. oh. Shiori scowls, then, a look that is as adorable as it is fierce. "That explains why he's mad at you -- but also I think he's a little afraid of you, because he only said shit behind your back."

[Rokag]

"...um...that wasn't...like, recently was it?" Rokag tried not to smile too much at the adorable fierce look, knowing that Shiori is definitely tougher than she looks. "And I guess that makes sense. He's probably waiting to see if I can do that thing at the festival again or not before he decides he can pull the same kinda shit with me."

[Shisou]

Shiori nods, then nods again. "Okay," she says quietly. "I'm going out tonight. I'm going to see if anyone's heard of this Isabela woman. And I need to hit some things. Are you going to be safe?"

[Rokag]

Rokag frowned a little. "Still think you need more help than just Carbonne...but I'll be alright. I just won't take visitors and be Very Stern if someone insists." The tone seems to drip a bit of malice.
