[Rokag]

"Seems like you're bleeding less, at least." Rokag tried not to smile too much. "And maybe I can help keep it that way rather than just patching holes."

[Shisou]

"Who would have guessed we'd end up married, huh? Life sure is weird."

[Rokag]

Rokag laughed. "Fair. Definitely didn't see anything like that happening back with the birds and big cats."

[Shisou]

She sighs, pressing a hand gently to her side. "Ow. Fuck. It's going to be weeks before I can go out on patrol again."

[Rokag]

"...huh, guess the 'healing pools of Toukami' are also fake, huh?" Rokag had thought the tales of pools in the floating islands that you can sit in and be healed from any injury were pretty far-fetched, especially since she'd seen that the noble families were pretty much...well, normal wasn't the right word for it.

[Shisou]

Shiori snorts. "If you believe that one I've got a bridge to sell you."

[Rokag]

"That's less funny if you realize you could actually OWN a bridge." She still smiles, tho. "And we gotta figure something else out to do...hey, maybe you can help me with sword stuff? I mean, stealing one's probably out, but you can probably teach me more than just how to stand, right?"

[Shisou]

"Maybe. Carbonne can teach you more than I can."

[Rokag]

"How...does Carbonne know how to use a sword?" Rokag tilted her head. "I mean Xi can't even hold a sword."

[Shisou]

"Oh, xe wasn't always a lizard. Xer natural form is a giant earth elemental."

[Rokag]

"....." Rokag stared at Shiori for a few moments. "Why...doesn't xe just do THAT when you get attacked?"

[Shisou]

"Xe can't. Xe's a special kind of summon, so xer physical form grows stronger with my magical talent. Xe is basically a cross between an eidolon and a familiar." 

[Rokag]

"...uh...okay?" No idea what an eidolon is, but sure. "Basically Xe can't till you get stronger with mag-wait you have magic?!" Says the woman that can make swords out of cold and stab summoned creatures with them.

[Shisou]

Shiori gives her an odd look. "You... didn't notice?" she asks, holding up one hand as light pours from it, illuminating the already mostly lit room a bit more. "I can do mostly defensive stuff to help keep myself alive. But I can also make glittering dust to help see invisible things, and I can create a mist that hides me from my enemies."

[Rokag]

Rokag looked a little sheepish. "I....kinda only saw you fight the one time and I was kinda distracted." Which was probably with the big flaming dog. "kinda figured you were just...ya know, tough to hit or something.
