Rokag

"He's the one that..." Rokag blinked. "Fuck, why WOULD he suddenly ask him to help with his business." She hadn't thought too much about it then, but that didn't make sense. "So..either he actually IS trying kill him, and Shisou isn't noticing, or he knows what's going on. Shisou gave me another necklace today and I don't know where the fuck he found it."

GamesMaster

"I don't really get the whole money thing, maybe he's buying them with his wages?"

Rokag

Rokag blinked at Carbonne. "Look, I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he'd have to sell YOU as a magic-granting not-lizard to get enough for ONE of the two necklaces he got. Indou isn't giving him that much money if he hates Shisou." She shook her head. "No, he has to know...which means we gotta figure out some other way to...." Roakg paused. "What magic stuff CAN you do? Like...you think you can keep someone from recognizing me?"

GamesMaster

"I can levitate myself ten feet off the ground?" offers Carbonne. "I can sometimes daze a person, making them stand around like an idiot?"

Rokag

"...okay, so we need help. And someone that can help us get it without getting Shisou or Indou to try and stop it. Maybe his mom? She used to be a priestess or something, so maybe she knows someone or something we can use." Rokag paused for a moment. "Also, how in the hells are you supposed to help anyone break any curse that way?"

GamesMaster

Carbonne sags a little against Rokag's ear. "It would be nice to see Kuronue again...." xe murmurs.

Rokag

"Wait aga- you used to work with Kuronue?!" Rokag paued in the pacing. "Wait, does she know about Shisou working with you?!"

GamesMaster

"She thinks I wasn't able to bond this generation," xe grumbles. "She tried with both her daughters, didn't know I could bond to a lad. I didn't either, to be fair. I guess that's why the amulet turns him female."

Rokag

"Then we ask her. She'll want to be sure herself and if she asks, we can come up with something." Rokag took a long breath. It's okay. So far she hasn't done anything and she'll probably be glad you thought to ask her." It was still weird to just...trust the woman, but she wasn't in the state to fight. Something that ATE at her deep. "Just...I'll hide you in something I can carry over to her and we'll see if she knows a way to fix this."

She takes some time to move Carbonne to her rooms and, after asking him to hide while she got help getting dressed, send a message to see if her mother-in-law was available to talk. It was a painfully roundabout way to what Rokag wanted to do, but she'd wait till she got the message and, if so, would make her way to see Kuronue with Carbonne hidden in her robes.

GamesMaster

The servant returns, bidding Rokag to attend to her mother-in-law but not to tarry long, for she's unwell. And so Rokag makes her way to the one area in the home she'd never been in: Kuronue and Indou's chambers.

Each have their own rooms, mostly because Kuronue is "ill" so frequently; there is a parlor between the two, Kuronue's room on the left and Indou's on the right. Rokag heads into Kuronue's dim room, the woman sitting up in bed, her hair loose and long about her shoulders as she rubs at her violet eyes. There is a light crystal on the bedside table, but it's off, needing a touch to awaken it -- a touch Kuronue doesn't grant.

"Rokag?" she asks, her voice faint, creaky. "Is that you? Do come, sit. Are the babes alright?"

Rokag

...what...the hells? Rokag honestly had thought the whole 'Getting ill' was a some kinda excuse for not showing up with bruises but she didn't...sound well. "They're fine. Apparently stronger every day." At least that's what the healer said and she was concentrating on not thinking too long about the babies. "I..." She shook her head. "I needed to speak with you about...well, from before." She frowned a little. "Should I...can I help you?"

GamesMaster

As she gets closer, she can see a dark patch over and around one eye and cheek. Sure enough, as she'd expected. "No. What do you mean, before?"

Rokag

"From when you were an adventurer. I wanted to know if you knew something or someone that can tell if someone has a spell on them?" Rokag frowned a little, but continued. "And how you get rid of it, if that's what happened." Rokag kept trying not to stare at the bruise.

GamesMaster

"Ah. No." She slumps against the headboard, sighing. "That was never my specialty. And truth be told, I lost my powers when my children were born."

Rokag

Rokag cursed in orcish before shaking her head. "Sorry, I thought that might...." She took another breath. "I mean, I kinda figured that wasn't how it worked, but you're supposed to meet a lot of people. Maybe there'd be something that does it or you met someone or." And now Rokag was starting to pace again. "It's Shisou. I'm...pretty sure Indou did something to him to make them more alike or something, but I can't figure out what."
