Tobys cabin

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie nods. "Do you.... Want him back? Now that you're here?"

[Acutis D'Vart]

"Nah, you keep him. He's less likely to get in trouble that way."

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie gives an odd look, but shrugs. "Um. okay."

[Acutis D'Vart]

"Plus he has a lot of incentive to make sure you don't die, which is a lot easier if he's around you." He gave a bit of a smile. "Sorry, just being a little protective."

[Toby]

"Don't worry about it." I smile warmly "it's been nice meeting you come by next time you're in town. Doors always open."

[Acutis D'Vart]

Acutis gave a nod. "Also, try and make sure Jamie takes his meds. I know he hates them, but they definitely help."

[Toby]

"Will do." I nod

[Acutis D'Vart]

With that, he gives Jamie a hug and heads back to his jeep. He picks up his phone on the way, making a call. "Hey Rich. Can I ask for a favor?"

[Tova koshack]

I smile as I see Jamie at school. It's a normal day mostly. Boring and dull lunch is good it's pizza day. I finally catch up to Jamie as the days wrapping up. "Hey, how did things go with your mom? All good? Sorry I didn't text last night Dixon and I were busy." I say giving him a wink  "so how'd it go" I say grabbing my back pack out of my locker

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie winces. "Well, to be honest, I ran away. Living with Toby now, don't tell anyone." So saying, he heads out the front door of the school, a few steps ahead of Tova as they talk. 

[Tova koshack]

"Wait! No way really?!" I say rushing yo catch up to him? "Is that why Dixon got a call in the middle of the night!?" He nods "So his place or are you gonna live with us in the long house?" I say shocked and exited

[Jamie D'vart]

"His place for now. We'll see what happens in a few days when Mom calms down. I think--"

Tova never finds out what Jamie thinks. As they reach the curb, intending to cross the parking lot to the school busses, two men jump out of a jeep, grab Jamie (one hand over his mouth so he can't yell), shove a bag over his head, and drag him back into the jeep. It's all over in seconds, too fast for a stunned Tova to react. 

[Toby]

It's a dull afternoon at work. Everything's slow and I'm going over what in going to say to Jamie when I get home when the phone rings

"Hello? Tova? Slow down.... What! When? Hang up and call Dixon tell him to meet me there." I'll kill him. That fucking bastard! Droning is bad enough but mate theft is going to far

"Jace mind the store" I shout heading out before anyone can question me.

"Hey it's me, bastard stole my mate." I say talking to my case manager as I drive words the school. "My pack saw it, I'm headed there to catch his scent. Yah it's Steve, yes I'm sure! I'm fine I can handle this Dixon's gonn keep me even while we hunt. Just giving you a curtesy call."

I park at the school and the cops are there. Some other kids saw him get grabbed. Dixon has his arm around Tova and she's awnsering questions. I can smell him. Its Jamie, Tova, kids, fear, gas, and cats.
"Sir, can  help you" a blond women asks
"Im Jamie's legal guardian. I got a call about an incident, Tova said he got taken." There's an edge of frantic ness in my voice
"Im so sorry sir, but it's true, do you know anyone who may have done this?"
"Steve, don't know his last name, his mother's boyfriend.no I don't know where he lives I don't know where he would have taken him, all I know is he's a wear tiger, and I have to find my kid!" I snarl Dixon places his hand on my shoulder "come on let's go get you some tea." He says leading me away, the packs there and I give the order. Bring Jamie home if anyone tries to stop you kill them......

[GamesMaster]

It's dark and it stinks and Jamie wants to go home and he --

The bag is yanked off his head, revealing him to be in a basement, standing beside a table. He kicks and fights as his abductors push him onto the table, strap him in. He's no good against their firm, unyielding muscles. He's just a kid! He's too young to die, he begs, please, don't do this, just call my mom, I bet she'll pay you--

"I'm here, kiddo," says Sophia, coming to smooth down his hair. "Shh. It's okay. I got you. I've got you."

"....Mom?"

"Don't worry, sweetie, they're not going to hurt you." She slips something onto his wrist, a cold, silver bangle. "We just need to turn you so we can get you away from that nasty wolf. He won't take you if you're a cat, you see. Then you can come home and everything will be like it was. Nice and safe."

"T-t-turn me!? Don't I get any say in that?" 

"It's for your own good, sweetheart. With parental permission, you can be turned. And I've signed the forms."

"No, I don't want to be a tiger, don't turn me!" His voice is small, pitiful, and utterly ignored. Sophia steps back, and Steve steps forward, a monsterous hulk of a man, furred but bipedal, his tail held high with delight. He leans over Jamie, sniffing deeply at his neck, the spot where Toby bit him. Then he sinks his fangs in, right over the bite, and tears, biting away the chunk of flesh entirely.

Jamie screams. 

He screams and screams, desperate, pleading, begging, but there's so much pain and there's bleeding and he might die, there's an artery there, and -- and he can feel something shifting inside him, something changing. Is it that fast? Is he already a tiger? Is he--

Steve, readying a syringe, leans over Jamie. The needle enters his skin. He goes to press the plunger. 

His eyes flutter. 

He sinks to the floor. 

Blood seeps from his eyes as they open again. Unfocused. Seeing nothing. 

His heart stops. 

One of his fellows, also half-changed, comes to his side, kneeling to check his pulse. Finding none, he snarls, ripping Jamie out of the leather cuffs and holding him up by the throat. "You killed him, you little punk!" he snarls, and Sofia screams, coming to beat at his back with her fists, desperate to stop this, stop them hurting her son. 

The tiger, ignoring Sophia, plunges his claws into Jamie's gut and twists. Jamie screams, pain like never before flooding him as he's dropped to the floor like garbage. The tigers move to take Steve's body upstairs, just as the door upstairs begins to open... 

[Toby]

It's carnage upstairs Dixon didn't bother shifting or even furring just snapped necks and slit throats both falling back on our training. It like being back in duby. I hear Jamie scream and kick the door in. Throwing my self at the man covered in janies blood. It's a quick bite through his wind pipe. Dixon takes the other two down. I turn to see him in her arms bleeding out.

"You fucking cunt, you nearly killed him." My voice is low growing filled with hatred.

"Sarge focuse justice later." He says in Wampanoag

I shift quickly nuzzling my Mayes face before biting down magic flowing into him he stops bleeding and heals. I shift back taking the change of clothes offered by Mala as she comes down the steps.

"Take the drones, call the council and star the paper work." I say to Dixon scooping my mate into my arms. "Get her cleaned up and bring her to me." I spit glaring at Sophia. Mala nods and I walk out carrying the unconscious boy
