" tell me more" I say calmly

[Jamie D'vart]

"He was talking mad shit about you. Saying he could take you, you're a pussy Alpha anyway. And Mom kept saying she needs to send me to my Grandma's to live to get me away from you."

[Toby]

"I'd like to see him try" I say darkly. I turn down a side street and stop at the magical i for ment office. "You need to make a report. You need to tell them your mom tried to keep you from your mate. That way we don't get intruble for you moving out. Ok? I'll be with you the whole time. It's ok."

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie hesitates. "What happens to Mom if I do?"

[Toby]

"They'll be an investigation. Then counseling. Human parents often have a hard time with this. A report means she's safe from any retaliation the pack might take. It means that you're safe from her and she's safe from me cause right now if she tried to take you from me again she wouldn't be but a report means she can't." I sigh "I'm sorry this is happening"

[Jamie D'vart]

"Can't I just crash at your place for a few days while I think about it? She didn't actually send me away."

[Toby]

"No. Cause she could try to have me arrested for kidnapping you. You need to report it. If things calm down and your safe to go back then you can but right now we need to cover our asses."

[Jamie D'vart]

He stays quiet, looking out at the building, deep in thought. 

From the backseat, a gruff voice calls out, "Listen, kid, I hate to break it to you but you can't just run away with your boyfriend forever. Now if you want to kill your mom, that we can do--"

"Shut up," growls Jamie. "I'm thinking."

[Toby]

My hackles stand up "why the fuck is your rat talking"

[Jamie D'vart]

"Azzy? Oh. Yeah. he's not really a rat."

[Toby]

"What the fuck is he then?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"A demon. Don't worry about it."

[Toby]

"Jamie I have kids is this going to be a problem?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"No, no. He's bound. He can't use any powers or do anything but talk unless someone kills the body he's stuck in."

[Toby]

"Good to know." I take a breath then another "come on we need to go do this before she calls the cops."
