"She's only had the mating bite but I wouldn't put it past him to turn her sooner or later. Especially if he plans to breed her."

"Language." Mala says glaring at me before excusing the children to go play since they've finished their dinners.

[Acutis D'Vart]

Acutis took out his phone and quickly typed out a message before hitting send and putting the phone away. "Sorry, if I didn't message that now I'd probably do something dumb later." He frowned a little. "That'll make things a little more difficult, but I might have to go and talk to Sophia before this whole thing happens. While I'm still not enthirely sold on the idea of you dating or mating with, my kid I'm willing to hear all this out a little better and that'd be hard if she tried to kill you with something that WASN'T a gun." He looked back to Jamie, a slight glint in his eye that Jamie would recognize from when he was "watching" something. "I know I ask you every time, but did your mom mention your sister at any point in the last month or so?"

Jamie rolls his eyes. "No, dad, she didn't come home."

[Toby]

"The bite seals the magic but it's up to us how we use it. If Jamie chooses to leave and never see me again he's free to do so. If he just wanted to be friends that's fine too, mating marks just means that you're souls are linked how we use that link is up to us."  Say to calm him.  "As I told Sophia, Jamie  is in charge in our relationship. I follow his lead and he makes the boundaries and ruels here."

Acutis looked to Jamie. "And what's you're side of all this?"

he kidnapped me and made me take his bite. "What he said, basically."

[Acutis D'Vart]

"...that tells me that what he said was true, but is that what you actually want is the question." He turned to Toby. "No offence, but if that's not what Jamie wants, then he's not going to be staying here." Yes, I know you said that he could leave, but I know that doesn't always MEAN it's that easy."

"Believe me if I was keeping him agents his will I'd be dead already. Mala would see to it." I say solemnly and she nods "it's true " she says

Jamie shifts a little in his seat, but nods. 

[Acutis D'Vart]

Acutis looked between those assembled and nodded. "Well, then I'll probably be sticking around till this is worked out. I'll have to talk to your mother and see what she says. Especially about what this Steve is and if that's something she knew beforehand." Acutis paused as he thought. "Also, Jamie, I didn't miss a birthday, did I?"

Jamie snorts. "Like three."

Acutis frowned a little. "Damn. I was sure I'd kept up on that...tho that.might make this kinda illegal, so you'd probably want to watch that if it's something you want to do."

"Don't worry. While he's technically old enough where the law is concerned nothings happened and it won't till he's ready. Besides pack law requires at least three moons between biting and any official mating ceremony that might come and we've a long way between here and there." I say calmly

"Wait a what ceremony?!"

"Wolf marriage." I say in a teasing tone "a mating bite is more like a promis ring than anything. It says 'this ones soul is matched to mine' just because you get the bite doesn't mean you get married. Yah it normally goes that way but most wolves meet their mates with in the first 5 years of life and grow up together going through the mating ceremony at around 20 years of age. "
