yamikuronue

"Well, there's one thing I need, really. A trifle, honestly. Nothing too demanding." She smiles, sweetly.

"...you want us to pray to you?" asks Siegfried, blinking.

"For the rest of your natural life, that's all." she says, still grinning.

CalamityJade

Morden blinked a couple of times. That..wha...he couldn't help it. He snickered a little and then honestly started laughing.

yamikuronue

Vi's grin becomes less sneaky and more honest as Siegfried looks back and forth between them, bewildered.

CalamityJade

After a few moments Morden finally calms down. "Wow...hah...you...oh dear." He takes a deep breath. "You realize that my 'natural life' might be quite long, but you may have thought of that when you asked." He couldn't help but smile a little. "Although, of all the religions and beliefs in the world I've seen or heard about, you are the first to simply ask me."

yamikuronue

"Oh, don't worry, I'm very familiar with your irregularities," she says, still grinning. "In fact, in another lifetime, we were good friends." She hesitates, then tucks some hair behind her ear. "You tried to teach me magic, but I kept setting myself on fire. I'm really not very good at it."

CalamityJade

That gets another laugh. "Probably had trouble with protections before implementation. Common mistake when first learning. The problem I seem to see is that without those accidents, people tend to have a chance of causing permanent damage to themselves. Something about acclimating yourself to exposure." Wait....what? "You seem to have found other talents, so I doubt whoever I was then would be disappointed."

yamikuronue

"Yes, that was exactly it: I did fire aspect, THEN fireproofing. I needed to do it the other way around." She holds up a fist toward him in some arcane sort of greeting. "You were eventually proud of me, when I died and become a goddess."

CalamityJade

Morden looked at the fist. "That...probably would not work, being ethereal and all...and that is rather...interesting." He seemed to ponder all this for a while. "Out of curiosity...what was it that you learned?"

yamikuronue

Vi drops her fist, looking bashful. "I was trying to invent a transformation spell. I was jealous of you, you see..."

CalamityJade

That got a bit of an odd look. "There's no reason to be, especially now. You found your own talents it seems. And I can be sure that anyone that was me wouldn not be perfect."

yamikuronue

She blushes faintly, looking uncomfortably pleased. "...Thank you," she says, gently. "So, about that worshipper thing?"

CalamityJade

"I can only speak for myself...but you did have the courtesy to ask rather than demand. As long as you don't ask anything damaging or demeaning, I see little problem in it."

yamikuronue

Siegfried frowns. "I'd need to see some sort of principles.... what do you stand for?"

"Oh, you know, peace, love, justice... the whole nine yards?" she asks, looking embarrassed.

CalamityJade

Morden shook his head. "You should try standing for something you find to be the most important. You are asking us to pray to you, so it should be something slightly more concrete than that."

yamikuronue

She sighs. "So, the thing is, I'm meant to be a Chaos deity. I stand for freedom, for breaking down walls, for throwing out the old way when it doesn't work anymore and building a new way that, sure, maybe it's wrong, but if it's just a little bit better than what we had, we'll throw it out next year and build a slightly better way. For growth and change and being a different person when you go to bed at night than you woke up that morning."

She scuffs her foot, looking awkward. "But that's not like... sexy."
