Julie: Don't think Lance is getting out of this either. Him and I and the whelp inside him have got to sit down and have a nice long talk.... But not today. I've too little sleep to have that discussion today.

"Then I guess the question that is yours is 'why you followed him?'" Morden finishes off the breakfast meats on his plate. "Oh, and whether or not you remember if there was an interest compounding any of the trust funds."

"There was, of course." he says, with a weak smile. "As for why... call it my own personal folly."

Julie: hmph.... I suppose i will have to leave it at that for now. Go talk to Echo when you have a moment, I'm sure he would like to see the fruit of his labor.

"I will... after I bake." He smiles, taking his empty plate and Morden's and moving toward the sink.

Morden couldn't help but chuckle. "Alright...though I was serious about the trust funds. There's a credit that seems to be a debit for the past decade to two of the trusts that seems to coincide with a quarterly report of interest. if you don't, then I'll go ahead with contacting the holders of those accounts and dig more into it."

Siegfried nods. "Good idea." Hmm... bananas, flour, yogurt, baking soda... chocolate chips or no chocolate chips? Always chocolate. He turns on the oven, getting out a few 1-lb loaf pans and arranging bananas onto a baking sheet.

Julie: hmm.... An accounting irregularity.... or do you think it's simply a long forgotten provision in the accounts?

"That's what I am unsure of. I would have simply dismissed it, if not for the fact that the amount seems to vary at times. Not by much, but there's about a fifty to one hundred dollar drift at any time."

Siegfried pays them no mind, smiling faintly to himself as he sets up the standing mixer and grabs some eggs and butter.

Julie: hmm... is it a constant percentage variance or a fixed dollar amount?

[CalamityJade]

"That's why I wanted to check. With authorization, I can pull up the records for the trust funds and see if it's fixed or a percentage...though fixed doesn't make any sense because of the variation in dollar amount."

"Oh, I'd be glad to sign whatever forms. The Young Master made sure I can do inquiries."

Julie: Hmm... that would be wise to investigate... That does sound odd. Are there any notes in the ledgers around when it started to indicate what the debit is?

[CalamityJade]

Morden sighed. "Not that I could see. They seemed to be from before a decade ago, so I can't say that they're new, or had been slipped in without someone's notice...but it still strikes me as odd. There isn't much in the way of tags or notes to it, but it seems to have been on the books for quite some time."
