Vic hesitates. "I won't do the dirty," he says, after a moment.

"Acceptable." grants Giovanni.

"And I want a raise."

Giovanni raises his eyebrow. "Oh?"

"You've put me in danger a few times, and this sounds even more dangerous. I want hazard pay."

"I suppose that's fair," he grants.

Tony's still showing remarkable restraint at staying silent, even though it's plain he wants to start shouting and/or hitting people.

Tony said he'd be quiet and let Vic take this and.... he'll keep his word.

Vic glances to Tony, then says, "I want ten minutes to discuss it with my... with Tony before I give my decision."

Giovanni nods. "Alright. You may use the front hall."

With a small bow, Vic turns and heads for the door they entered through.

Tony follows Vic, sparing only a moment to glare at Giovanni cryptically before he exits the room.

Vic heads a short way down the hall, nervous about the time, before he whispers, "I think I'm gonna do it."

[accalia]

Tony shakes his head "Wouldn't work. Captain White's not only a raging homo, but a racist one at that. he wouldn't even consider you as a partner unless you were as black as he is."

[yamikuronue]

Vic's face falls. "Crap. How do I tell the Boss that?"

[accalia]

"don't know that one." Tony admits "but that doesn't mean you can't get the job done even so, we just have to go about it a different way." and Tony does sound convinced that there is a way to handle it.

[yamikuronue]

Vic fidgets. "If I take the job and fail, I'll be in deep shit. I should decline. Can I decline?"

[accalia]

"That's a tough call." Tony admits "we can't do it the way he wants it done, but.... we can achieve the same effect in the end, which should be acceptable. But it's your call in the end. if i talk to him right now it's going to be with my fist."

Tony doesn't elaborate on why he wants to punch Giovanni right now, but... well based on what Vic knows of Tony and the way Giovanni had just treated Vic it's not hard to guess.

Vic hangs his head. "....I am a girl, you know," she says, fidgeting.

[accalia]

"I am aware of that, But that doesn't mean you want to be treated like a girl. You have the choice of how you act and are addressed, and I would not see someone deny you your right to be treated how you want."

[yamikuronue]

Vic looks away. "I don't..." he begins, before giving a sigh. "Yeah, you're right," he mumbles, unhappily.

[accalia]

"So, do you want to do this your way, or will you tell him to jump off the pier?" Tony asks softly.

[yamikuronue]

Vic looks up to Tony, searching his face for the 'right' answer. "....jump off a pier?" he asks, hesitantly, as if guessing at the answer in math class.
