The Family [Finished]

[yamikuronue]

She pulls back after a moment, studying his face. "Hmm. Maybe I'm going about this wrong -- perhaps it's different if you kiss me?"

[accalia]

"I want to, more than anything right now, but..... If I do then..." Tony sighs. "Now i know what he felt.... Kate, I like you, I am head over heels for your kisses but..." Tony pauses for a long moment, gathering his courage "As a man, I'm missing some important equipment for what you want to do tonight."

[yamikuronue]

"And you presume to know what I want to do?" she asks, raising one eyebrow.

[accalia]

"I may be celibate though my life choices, but you don't become a cop in this city without knowing the mechanics of what goes on between a man and a woman." Tony snaps in mock anger, the blush on his face betraying his actual feelings.

[yamikuronue]

"Mm." she says, keeping her face even and her tone seductive. "What if I plan to kiss you on the lips, unbutton that shirt of yours, and kiss you lower and lower, until I reach that lovely little Venus of yours, and slip my tongue in there?"

[accalia]

Tony blinks and literally slips off the bed, landing on the floor with a loud THUD.

"You already knew?!" he asks sharply, not upset, yet, but very surprised. "How long have you known?!"

[yamikuronue]

She smiles at him, sitting back and trying not to laugh. This is probably a big moment for him, she tells herself. Don't laugh at him. But... falling off the bed..!

"I've suspected for a while."

[accalia]

Tony pulls himself together, somewhat, but doesn't rise yet "And tonight was.... You knew, and you still...?! But why?" Yeah, the penny hasn't fully dropped.

[yamikuronue]

"Remember how I said God would probably strike me dead for setting foot in the church?" she asks, looking up at the ceiling. "He's probably not too pleased about what I and the maid of honor got up to four years ago."

[accalia]

Tony looks more puzzled at that explanation and defaults into investigation mode "And..... how does that.... two....now?" well, he's still not terribly coherent, but Kate has all the attention he's got left.

[yamikuronue]

"It means I know my way around downtown, so to speak." Her tone is gentler now. "That doesn't scare me. Ideally, if we go well together, we could get married and lend both of us some respectability -- don't tell me you wouldn't find certain things easier if you had a wife."

[accalia]

"It would make things easier." Tony admits "The gruff, world weary bachelor has served me well so far, but.... You really wouldn't prefer a man with the right anatomy?"

[yamikuronue]

She shakes her head. "I'll admit some curiosity, but frankly, I'm usually attracted to women. You're.. interesting, to me. I found myself interested in you, even before I suspected your secret. I'm not sure why; maybe I just haven't known many good men to be attracted to before."

[accalia]

Tony blushes deeply at that revelation. "you know.... I have no idea how to... how to go about.... you know..."

Well he seems to have lost his resistance, but his usual glibness and tone is still missing in action. Kate has that effect on Tony.

She laughs. "Then it's a good thing I have a lot of practice."
