"And if they don't know you're interested how do you expect them to tell you if they are interested or not? Sure, if we're talking about dating you'll strike out a fair bit, but when you find the person that's right for you it will make it all worth it. trust me."

[yamikuronue]

Vic keeps his mouth shut, lowering his gaze. Nobody could want a freak like me, he thinks, prodding his french fries glumly.

[accalia]

a thumb under his chin forves Vic's head up again. "You think you're the only one that feels the way you do now? I've got fifteen kids, and all of them have been right were you are now, Not sure where they're going in life, sure they're going to be alone tomorrow. Well they all got through it, i went to the wedding of my seventh daughter two weeks ago, that's the eighth wedding I've gone to for my kids, and my sixth son just got promoted to second lieutenant in the army. And if they can do that, there's no reason you can't."

[yamikuronue]

"They're probably not..." freaks. Bizzare. Criminals. "Like me."

[accalia]

A long moment before Bear speaks again, when he does his voice is much lower, more secretive with out actually being a whisper. Whispers draw attention after all, this is just talking quiet. "Cassandra is I think, though approaching it from the other side as it were. and even she managed to make something of herself. Apparently she has a boyfriend and a girlfriend now. And no i have no idea how that works out, but apparently it does and they're happy, so what business of mine is it?"

"Can we... go for a drive?" asks Vic, shifting in his seat.

[accalia]

"If you want, but i'll drive this time. Don't want you distracted." Bear says, polishing off the last of his fries. "Got a destination in mind or just want to be moving?"

[yamikuronue]

"Just... just not here." he says, quietly.

As they pay and move to the car, he keeps his mouth shut, fear mounting in his breast.

[accalia]

Bear puts the car in gear easily and starts driving. He doesn't say anything, letting Vic start talking when he was ready.

[yamikuronue]

Where to start... might as well start with the part that's likely to get me killed.

"I'm with the mob," he says, softly. "Or I was until recently. I guess they still want me to work for them, but I can't really be with them as I am."

[accalia]

Bear shrugs. "You were on the inside and got clean? impressive. How'd you manage that. usually the only way to retire from that job is to run faster than they can catch you." He seems curious, not passing judgement, just being curious.

[yamikuronue]

"I'm not... clean. Not exactly. They found out... They found out I'm a girl. And girls can't... but they want me to spy for them instead."

[accalia]

"Ah. and you told them to shove off and stop treating you like a weak willed simp just because you don't have a dick?" Bear apparently has "views", ones that are eerily similar to Tony's to be honest.

[yamikuronue]

Vic starts. "What? No. I told them I'd do it."

[accalia]

Bear frowns at that, but doesn't say anything. he's plainly waiting for more information.
