Shisou

Run? Where would I go? "No, you need to get the girls to safety immediately. The temple won't protect you long, not against Lights."

Haliel Lightsong

The paladin nods slowly. "Understood. Do you have a plan then?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Shisou

"I-- Ah," she says, pulling back with a blush. "My plans all revolve around getting you and them out of Nyra. I hadn't... it's just... Carbonne usually helps me plan how to stay safe and I.."

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong smiles gently. "If you like, you could come with us part way and work out a plan with Mister Tethras. And the others. They're really quite clever."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Shisou

"I... That might be... and I could help ensure you get away cleanly."

Haliel Lightsong

"Good, then we have a short term plan. Do you need to fetch anything or inform anyone?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Shisou

She nods. "I'll get my things, and I'll meet you... ah... how about, do you know the little sweets shop on the edge of Cattown? The western edge?"

Haliel Lightsong

"No but I'm sure Brianne will," she assures Soushi-hime.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Shisou

"Alright. Thank you, again," she adds, and heads for the door. "Stay safe!"

Marian Hawke

Libraries were peaceful places, familiar places, for Marian. With a lot of time to fill and a sister to keep occupied, it was only natural she suggest they tag along -- though she'd gotten them their own alcove where they could talk without disturbing Helene's research. Their books were different than the Seeker's -- books on alchemy for Marian to study, storybooks and books about healing for Beth. Neither of them was really up for hardcore studying right now anyway; it was just pleasant to spend the afternoon together, relaxing and chatting casually.

"I'll bring back both the lamb and the pork kabobs," decides Marian, getting up from the table. "Wait here, I'm going to go see if Helene wants anything."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Helene Dakesh

Despite what her apprentice thinks, however, Helene is not deep in her own studies today. Instead, she's enjoying a casual afternoon relaxing with Varric -- not that that stops her from making a literal wall out of textbooks she used to block off much of the visibility from her alcove, just out of habit. And the intent to read the texts, of course... this evening, perhaps. Or tomorrow.

She had to admit, it was nicer with Varric than without.

"Do you know, she came to me yesterday and we had the strangest talk?" Helene is saying. "She thanked me for taking her as an apprentice. I was instructed to do so by Alydra, but I never understood why until she spoke with me. It seems I saved her life."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

Did she now? Good for her. "Glad to hear it. She does look up to you. Not always sure how to show it, but she does." Varric chuckles softly. "She can rave for a good twenty minutes if you get her started on your work on divergence of formal address in rural villages over generational divides."

Helene Dakesh

"It is a shame she has no real desire to continue the work. I do not often take apprentices but perhaps I should." Helene gives a small, rueful smile. "Still, I fear she will have trouble in her future. How soon do you plan to return to Orzimmar?"
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

"Not until this whole Jay Am deal is handled at the least. Couple of months at least. Don't like leaving things half done and such. Why do you think that Tabby is going to have trouble exact?"

Helene Dakesh

"She seems to seek it out. This one wonders at times if she will grow to become an adventurer. This one hopes not. Adventures are dangerous."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."
