Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch glide upwards and inspects the indicated items. eventually she shrugs.

"Dwarves bounce, and that chandelier is sturdy enough to support at least ten brawlers.... well, eight at least before you run out of room to stand."

GamesMaster

"Cats have great balance," says the mystery man with a smirk. "We can fit a dozen on there in a fight. It's a real favorite spot."

Solras, The Protector

"Seems like it would be a favorite spot to sleep off the booze." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch comments dryly, continuing the banter on autopilot.

GamesMaster

"That too, though this isn't the bar open latest at night, so it's more common to move to another drinking spot."

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch nods, they probably move to a dwarven bar, as those close only when they have to to stay on the good side of the local guard. "Makes sense. I've usually left by the time that sort of thing is an issue."

GamesMaster

"Suppose you're looking for a different sort of entertainment?" he asks, his voice too casual. He stretches a little, his claws flicking out just a touch as his fingers spread.

Solras, The Protector

"That depends entirely on what exactly you mean." Flat, monotone as always, but there's an edge to it. looks like there might be a lot of answers that aren't wrong, but there's also at least one answer that is very wrong indeed.

GamesMaster

"I'm asking you," he chuckles, in a low purr. "You come here for a bit of the wild side?"

Solras, The Protector

"Speak plainly. I dislike it when the talking is indirect." she might have gotten the innuendo, but she'd not going to respond to it.... or it went so far over her head she didn't even see it. Hard to tell with her poker face and monotone voice.

GamesMaster

"Are you hiring a whore?" he asks, a little bit of distaste coming into his voice at having to state it so baldly. "I'm for sale, for the right price."

Solras, The Protector

"Ah. Sex. I don't do sex" Solras, Daughter of Umdor, Son of Gimrigg states "Don't misunderstand me, It's not that I don't want to do it with you, or that i'm just not in the mood tonight. It is not at thing that I do. With anyone. At any time."

A pause as the drink is drained and another round for both ordered "But if you want someone to drink with and talk with. That I can do."

GamesMaster

Something seems to click over in the catfolk, and some tension eases out of him, letting him relax. "A drinking companion sounds lovely."

Solras, The Protector

Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch nods and raises her mug in a toast. "Companions." a simple toast, the exact sort that could, if the circumstances are *exactly* right.... go on to change the world forever.

GamesMaster

Over the next half-hour or so, Solras learns a lot about her new companion. She learns that he likes beer and isn't too fond of whiskey. She learns he has a sister, but no other siblings. She learns he doesn't often whore himself out, but he was curious about this stranger in his usual hangout. But one thing she doesn't learn is his name. How does she want to go about finding it out?

Solras, The Protector

"Seems to me..." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch starts to say, before pausing to hiccup. "Seems to me we should know each other's names if we're going to drink together."

She doesn't offer her name at the first, partly ebcause she's not sure if her drinking companion will agree with her statement, ans partly because she's trying to remember some of the trickier family relations in her name.... who was it that slew the Balrog at Thundrim's keep? or was it that they slew Tundrain at Balrog's Keep? and was it really Turndrin? Wasn't that the dwarven name for male..... bits? (yetch!)

Not used to drinking more than a mug of ale at a go Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch is actually rather tipsy right now, though not yet drunk, it takes a lot more ale to make a dwarf drunk.... or so she's been told.
