"Distracted or ignoring you?" Obsidian was starting to really regret not paying as much attention to him as he should have. He probably could have seen this coming...though now they were having to catch up. "And I'm guessing he was just as prickly as ever?"

"Like he wanted me to leave." says Siegfried, morosely. "Probably so he could pack up and run."

[CalamityJade]

"Damn...damnit! Why the hell now?! if he thought that was an option, why didn't he do so long before now?"

[accalia]

Julie's voice was oddly warped by apparent wind, even though the actual vice was somewhat magical in nature

Julie: My visit probably rattled him a fair bit. I mean that was what i intended but i think i may have pushed him too far.

[yamikuronue]

"...What did you say?" asks Siegfried, trying to keep his tone polite while his stomach churns with dread.

[CalamityJade]

"I was starting to wonder if you being here was rattling him. Kid's not good at looking at himself too closely."

[accalia]

Julie drops into the car and the warping of her voice stopping as soon as her head is inside the car again

Julie: He's on the edge of going Feral, I was pushing him to test how close he was to falling off the edge. He's further back than i expected, but even so unless he masters the wolf inside he's going to fall. It's even worse right now because the full moon is only a couple of days away. that's when the wolf is strongest.

Siegfried swallows. "How did it get so bad? It's been ten years since he turned, I thought... I'd have thought we were through the worst of it?"

[CalamityJade]

"The moon is an issue....but what the hell do you mean. That he's losing to the Wolf...that I'm not so sure about. Kid's lasted this long without losing, and that's longer than I'd hoped." He pauses for a moment. "Plus, the more you make him think he's an idiot, the less likely he'll be to listen to ya. "

Julie: picture me shrugging, The wolf wants control. The longer you go before controlling it the stronger it gets, eventually it takes over and you go feral. most creatures beyond the veil will leave a werewolf alone unless provoked, but a feral is dangerous enough that just about everyone kills them if they are able. It's a terrible way to end.

Julie: Good news is that the wolf can be mastered, it can be controlled. What is a wolf with a little bit of humanity in it? a dog. so there's hope, if the master is willing to stop running and face what needs to be faced.

Siegfried nibbles his lip, staying silent. That sounded fearsome -- and dangerous. But he wasn't about to let the Young Master rush off into the wilderness for it.

"Right, so what's the trick?" Obsidian looked out the window. "Obviously it can't be the easiest trick to pull, but there has to be something to it, right?"

[accalia]

Julie: what trick? mastering the wolf is hard work. you have to be Alpha to the wolf, get it to accept you as leader. That's not easy and how to do it varies from individual to individual.

Siegfried gives a soft chuckle. "That sounds like it should have been simple for the Young Master..."

Obsidian shook his head. "That's not exactly simple... Just a check, the wolf....you hear that all the time, right?"
